I cannot believe the Lions have the loyal fanbase they do after the staggering ineptitude they've displayed in their history.
One playoff win since 1958. One.
Yeah, we dont all live in rural ****holes, kid
In 2001, Millen left broadcasting to assume the job of the Detroit Lions' CEO and de facto general manager. At that time, Millen had no prior player development or front office experience.
When first approached by owner William Clay Ford, Sr. about the job, Millen told him "Mr. Ford, I really appreciate this, but I'm not qualified." Ford responded "You're smart. You'll figure it out."
That phenomenon is bigger than the Lions, or even football.
My best guess is fear of missing out. It's otherwise inexplicable why people spend money on stuff they were recently apoplectic about.
For example, people who hated The Last Jedi that are still going to see the next one.
Yeah, I don't either. My house is bigger than that for almost half the price.
Oh my freaking lord.
Millen even warned the owner that he wasn't qualified beforehand and the dingbat STILL wanted him as GM?
Yup, that's why the NFL can get away with being such a horribly run league...because America is hopelessly addicted to football and those that run the league know it.
If you're getting a ~3000 sq ft house for under $300,000 you live in an area with much higher supply and much lower demand than Stan or I do. It may be a great house in a great area, that's certainly possible and I'm not intending to say otherwise., but the reason your house is so cheap is likely because it is located where it is.
I am less than 20 miles from downtown Chicago.
Thing is, the property taxes here absolutely rape you. If I owned my house outright I would still pay $11k/yr in taxes. Insane.
Yeah dude, its another reason why more people are leaving Illinois than any other state. Its a f***ing scam, but here I am... still paying the man.Your home is a steal then, you got it for a great price so nice work on your part. However, it is valued under $300,000 and you'd pay $11,000/year in property taxes? Jesus Christ almighty, that's NY levels of horrible, my house is valued at around $500,000 and I pay around $4200/year.
You live at home.Sitting in the new house as they work on putting in vents. Fun
I don't have a Master's Degree. So get your facts straight.Well I’ve been considering going back to school for the fifth time. My two masters, one associates, and one bachelors degree so far haven’t helped much so far, but I’m confident a third master’s degree would get me a chance to work an entry level job next to 22 year olds.
What's the cost of living in inner city Philadelphia @Gary DiSarcina
What are ya the IRS? Sod off m8.Depends on what your salary is at your job. Mind telling us all that?
@OmniCube what advice would you have for prospective new home buyers such as myself
