One of my mates was once telling me that he hates the Scouse (Liverpool) accent because when he was travelling he met a girl from there and when he was banging her she was saying "Fook us!" in her accent (us meaning me in most northern dialects)

But until then people are more interested in a guy who plays for non-league club Halifax Town FC going on the Love Island in an upcoming episode

I enjoy some women's sport but you are deluded to think that anyone cares about England bird football to anywhere remotely close to the same extent as North America no matter how hard the BBC tries to shove it down throats
I have watched some women's ruggers recently and also enjoy a bit of the W Series racing

not sure what other evidence you need, the England "bird football" games have been strongly attended in England and the media, you're right, keeps talking about it. There was a huge piece in the paper today about it in England

Nobody reads newspapers anymore
Bird football not in the zeitgeist at all
Guy at my work is huge Arsenal fan and I have asked him a few times since the tournament started if he is going to watch the England bird football and he always says oh maybe I don't know and then never actually does
The Love Island is on the telly and everyone watches that instead
