Mario Kart 8 can be the biggest load of shit sometimes.

After completely dominating the first 3 races of a grand prix, I get Midway'd in the last lap of the 4th race and it just makes me not want to play anymore.

The spiny shell,[1][2][3] colloquially known as the blue shell,[4][5] is a power-up item in the Mario Kart video game series. Mario Kart 8 doesn't have a lap timer because then the cheating-ass rubber-banding would be too obvious.

It's also very noticeable when I play with the girlfriend. She can usually beat the AI when playing by herself, but when I'm playing, the AI gets so much help to compete with me, that she gets completely destroyed.
