But he "deserved" it @PanthersPens62 ...

The fan's brother, who did not wish to be identified, said the sound of his brother's head hitting the floor has stuck with him.

"We were just trying to get out of there like everyone else and then, all of a sudden, a beer was thrown at us, and me and my brother kind of separated in that second. The next thing I know, I look over, I hear a thud on the ground and it's my brother laying there," the victim's brother recalled. "The thud. You can hear it in the video. I'll never get that sound out of my head. My brother's head hitting the ground."

The victim flew back home Friday morning with injuries to his face and head.

Madison Square Garden condemned what it called the "abhorrent assault" and said Anastasio would be banned from all MSG Entertainment facilities for life.

"All guests — no matter what team they support — should feel safe and respected in The Garden. This has and always will be our policy," MSG said in a statement.

OMG I am not going to rehash this with you again. I made myself very clear yesterday that I was NOT defending the assailant. But what I will do is give you an example of "what if this was me":

Lets say I am visiting DC. I go to a Natinals/Marlins game. I wear a Marlins shirt. I actively cheer any time they do something well. Marlins win. I get up, I leave very satisfied with the win but go out of my way to avoid looking to/at any fan like I am gloating. Why? because I have no clue who I may run into that may be as crazy as the NYR fan. And if by chance some crazy fan tried to engage me, I simply keep walking and ignore him. What I don't do is stick my chest out, say anything that may antagonize him etc. I'm NOT saying this is what happened at MSG but I am saying we do not know the entire story no matter what the victim's brother said because I have read other reports that they did have a prior encounter.

So is he claiming that it was a truly random assault?

The way he tells the story, by glossing over prior events and making a very obvious appeal to sympathy by focusing on the thudding sound seems a little off, for lack of a better word

They already found the guy, so what's the point of publishing someone's account of events when they didn't even see the f***ing assault?

I never wear a jersey to a road game as you never know who or what you may run into. Sure I could probably go years without a incident but it just needs to happen once. I went to a Bruin/Leaf playoff gamer a few years ago and some dummy in his early twenties yelled at a very old and frail guy with a cane wearing a Bruins jersey to take it off. Meanwhile we are descending down steep cement stairs. A bunch of other leaf fans made it clear he should keep his mouth shut and his hands in his pockets. Could have quickly turned into a ugly evening.

When I'm on the road I keep a low profile and am pretty quiet. I've seen some ugly things happen at Jr C games even, I don't need any more crap that I can avoid.

Sure, it should NEVER happen, even if someone is talking a little smack, but it does, and I govern myself accordingly.

Did you get her nose...

Big deal, the Bulldogs were supposed to win this series, if you actually followed the O you would know this, but here we are.

We don't lock our doors here and we also keep a few pairs of snowshoes in the hall closet, and the freezer is filled with moosemeat that was shot in the backyard last autumn and a vat of maple syrup. I said hello to the local RCMP officer on horseback this morning while out watching beavers build a dam across the Humber River.

Beat you to a few Canadian lame stereotypes, let's see, I think that was five unanswered...
