the color announcer of the Avalanche died last week. 27 years I've been listening to this guy.

i went to the first game since his death, and they did a nice tribute. apparently the broadcast for said game was with an empty color seat, and there was silence any time he would usually interject. I caught a few minutes of the replay and holy balls.

i haven't been able to watch a game since. honestly, i grew up listening to Peter McNab and without him on the games it just doesn't feel right.
