I'm three episodes in to Line of Duty

Aside from Martin Compston looking like a 15 year old dressed up by their mum to go on work experience, I'm enjoying it

Watching back series 1 he does look hilariously young. Don't worry, he grows some facial hair later on.

The first episode really is outstanding and is a masterpiece of television, watching Tony Gates' mask slip and his character completely unravel over the course of an hour is completely unrivalled on-screen story telling.

Also in all the clips/gifs of him I saw I never once thought Hastings was Irish

Every time he speaks I expect some generic English accent, it's really bizarre

He just doesn't look North Irish

Also the very angry man whose name I forget from The Thick of It as a plummy voiced senior officer is even weirder so ignore my previous complaint
