It's so funny how people here who claim to follow hockey have the nerve and the gumption to imply that Wilson is dirty when Wilson had in the past (about 2+ seasons ago) been suspended for a very long time for hits (remember, after Caps won cup they played preseason game where Wilson hit someone, the NHL was like "suspend him till december" or something) and that was his 2nd to last suspension, then he I think had one against the Bruins and that's it.

So after Wilson was suspended for like 1/4 of the season the coach was like "You need to change your play because we can't afford to have you off the team so long" so basically they surrendered to the NHL "soft" culture and Wilson stopped headhunting. He's been suspended in the past so many times that HE CAN'T AFFORD MORE SUSPENSIONS. He brings too much value to the team.

If you'd actually watch the f***ing games instead of reading online hate blogs you'd see that he has changed his game. I watch every Caps games unlike yinz so I can see the change. And everyone else casually watches or claims Ovechkin is "dirty" do you even watch the games

Remember during the Rangers game when everyone wanted Tom Wilson suspended even though 1) he didn't do anything and 2) he actively went to the Rangers locker room afterwards to apologize and wish the best for the injured player
