Now I remember why I stopped playing Stardew Valley on the PC.

I don't want to fish, I don't want to run around giving gifts, I don't want to constantly be planning and reading the wiki so I'm not just wasting my time.

Maybe I should just do the JojaMart path, so I can actually play the game, rather than being forced to do a bunch of annoying tasks

I've grabbed so many of Stardew Valley's imaginary brass rings that it's finally dawned on me that they're just that, completely imaginary.

The only thing that's real is me and the fact that day in and day out for almost 3 in-game years that I have proved to everybody in Pelican Town that I am the best. Growing crops, raising animals, even at cave exploring. Nobody can touch me.

And yet, no matter how many times I prove it, the Community Center keeps asking me, and only me, to volunteer my efforts. You want my crops. You want my goods. You want my money. You want my fish. And you want me to do all of this for free.

Do you know why I even bother? Because Pelican Town is filled with nothing but stupid rednecks who can't do anything for themselves.

Maybe it'll get better when Mayor Lewis is dead, but it'll just taken over by his idiotic daughter and his doofus son-in-law and the rest of his stupid family.

You want to hear a story about Mayor Lewis? You see all this stuff about community outreach, well he's-

How to not get taken seriously on Twitter: Have a stupid anime avatar with everyone agreeing with you also having a stupid anime avatar.

Also, I disagree. Every line of literature doesn't have to be an allegory with some deeper meaning. Is it not possible to factually describe the setting in which a scene takes place?

I can somewhat understand the idea of a writer not mentioning something if it isn't important, but every writer doesn't write exactly the same.

American Psycho has chapters dedicated to Patrick Bateman overanalyzing stuff like music and designer clothes.

Is there a deeper meaning to him enjoying Yves St. Laurent but not Burberry? No, probably not, because he's just a vain and materialistic person.

"if the scene is meaningless, why would the author set it?"

Uhh, to help the reader picture where the scene is taking place.

Never describing any settings unless there is an allegorical meaning behind it would make a story much harder to picture in my head.

To insist that everything has a deeper meaning is just as ridiculous as insisting that nothing has a deeper meaning.

Paying 60 dollars every year for the same game is ridiculous.

Yes I pay 100 per year for EA games. But it's different.

Madden, FIFA, Battlefield, Sonic, etc
