I did not enjoy Oliver Stone's Oscar winning directing. We understand all the messages he wants to get across because he is quite unsubtle and excessive.

Tom Cruise did well with what he had to work with.

Movie could easily lose 30 minutes, if not more. We don't need to see Tom Cruise and Willem Dafoe banging Mexican hoors.

Still liked it more than Forrest Gump.
