I love baseball so much but I shed a tear over these mega contracts that are ruining the game. I honestly feel like Vlad Guerrero Jr is going to seek a 800m contract now because Soto has set the tone for young talent, and you think the Blue Jays are going to pay that? If you think corporate greed is fine in baseball you're part of the problem. I'm not following MLB anymore, I'm becoming a NPB and KBO fan. At least they know how to do baseball correctly.

no but it is common practice for players to receive a plushie after rounding third base which they usually throw into the stands
