You belong on the main board. That's the worst insult I'll hurl at you. Jesus ****ing christ. The guy is representing his country in the Olympics for the first time IN his country. And Putin was watching. He's a human being. Let him have emotions. Zero problem with what he said considering the circumstances.

You don't throw your goaltender under the bus like that and accuse him of cheating. Keep that private.

It's not his goaltender, it's the goaltender of a huge rival team. And "cheating".. big deal, every minor penalty is technically cheating too. Who cares.

I'm sure they'll hug it out in LA. Heat of the moment thing, plus nationalism comes before club team allegiance in a lot of foreign countries. Foolish statement, but mountain out of a molehill imo.

Slava's quotes are translated. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and interpret what he was saying as:

Quick plays a very violent lateral style and knocking the net off the moorings is not unexpected.

I get it was a heat of the moment comment, but based on the translation he didn't mince words. It was not a professional response and I hope it doesn't effect the locker room. Voynov should have blamed the ****** rule for existing and not put the blame on Quick. Feel free to disagree though.

I'll let Slava slide over the comment. Maybe it was translated out of context or maybe it's gamesmanship. Either way, it's the Olympics and it's not club over country here. No way Quick does that on purpose. It's like people have never seen him in net before.

Yup, can guarantee that Slava probably send a text to Quicker immediately after he realized that quote stirred some **** up.

It's a heat of the moment thing. No big. Not sure what people expect. Passionate players say passionate things.

Moving on.

It just makes me proud to see how far the Kings have gone the last few years. We've got the starting goaltender for the USA. Carter scored a hat trick for Canada. Slava playing a big role for Russia. Kopi leading Slovenia to their first win in Olympic history. Doughty making all those Canadians who say he's overrated love him all over again. The Captain, trying to blow up knees for the sake of the red white and blue...:sarcasm:. Now, if they can start scoring goals wearing Kings colors when they get back, I'll be thrilled.

And to think some people thought that T.J. Oshie being a shootout specialist was bad reason to put him on the team.

People who know hockey: 1
HF Boards: 0

Hell yes!

If they play well all tourney then come back and slump, there are going to be lots of questions asked of Sutter.

In the meantime, can't be prouder, and love when our players are exposed to a wider audience.

Awesome game. I fell back asleep when it was over.

I have no doubt in my mind Voynov was not insinuating Quick is a cheater. The media is **** and always wants a juicy story.

Nice!

Two penalties for Radulov. Two power play goals for the U.S. It wasn't the former Nashville Predators best day and Russia head coach Zinetula Bilyaledinov even said that Radulov will be watching Sunday's game against Slovakia from somewhere other than the Russian bench. "We expected more of Radulov. He didn't live up to our expectations."

Just finished the game. Pavelski's goal... Dat pass, dat shot.... Holy hell that was beautiful. And what a huge ego stroke for Oshie. The best players in the world available and the coach keeps choosing you, and you deliver. I can't even imagine. Quick played well. A bit questionable on the disallowed goal and I didn't like the shorthanded rebound he gave to Datsyuk in OT, but otherwise good. Brow cemented his place as the dirtiest piece of **** that ever lived with the hit on Tarasenko, but what can you do?

I know I've complained about other members acknowledging the main boards, but I must admit, for an enthusiast site that is supposedly going to have educated hockey fans, there are a ton of really ****ing stupid people on here. How so many people can say blatantly false things and have other people agree shocks me. Welcome to the internet I guess.

So what if he does? He's playing for his country in Sochi. I'm sure he can say whatever the **** he wants. You make it sound like it's his wife.

They met, they didn't. So that's a bold statement.

Rematch would be fantastic. Russia did a great job slowing the U.S. down with some Red Wings style interference.

It's a realistic one. Radulov got the US into the game. The US looked like a bunch of passengers. They met? Yeah they did, but the better team got screwed.

So NBC is not showing a replay of this game on any of their networks? I can't find anything. If that's the case, why are they shocked when their ratings suck?

if only there was some kind of device that would allow you to record the game yourself.
