You know what really pisses me off about this? Since we massively disappointed, I think this hurts the public perception of hockey in the country. As much as I hate this attitude, America loves a winner and if you can't win, then nobody cares. In this case, I guess people will care less.
 
I love how the announcers are blaming Quick for being too aggressive as Finland is just passing to open players all over the ice.

He's just dead man, been playing a ton of minutes because they brought a bunch of d-man who can't play the tough minutes because they are either to young or to awful (Orpik).

I understand JJohnson had a terrible start to the year, but with the way he has been playing since December they really really could have used him in this tournament. Shattenkirk was terrible, Fowler is just to young and Orpik is well, Orpik.
 
I stopped watching the game because having two large fits of rage on back to back days is terrible for your health, but I have one question. It seems like Bylsma still has Quick in net. Why?
 
So uh.....atleast Carter and Doughty are going to get a gold. That's not a bad thing I guess.
 
It took 24 hours for us to go from possible contenders for gold to this. What medal do they give for fourth? Copper? Aluminum?
 
You could tell these guys want to get out of there ASAP. Never looked good from the drop of the puck, only time Rask was tested was on penalty shots, and he didn't even have to make a save on either one. Good for Finland though, they worked their tails off and played like they cared. This US team embarrassed themselves over the last 24 hours.

And Pierre Macguire just called out Dustin Brown for being glued to the bench, haha.

Someone's gotta keep that bench nice and warm.
 
I predicted this would happen =/ The US has a weak defense and didn't stack up too well on paper. If they lost, then the blame would be placed at the feet of Brown and Quick. Hopefully they are in decent spirits when they return to LA. We've got a playoff race to win.
