Actually Brink is garbage compared to Caufield. That is how you know these tournaments shouldn't be used to make conclusions on players.

You cant make conclusions on small sets of games at all. But that doesnt make them meaningless.

Teply has been our best forward but he's more a passer than a shooter.

Impressed with Teply. He's a big guy that won't wow you with speed, but he consistently makes super smart decisions with the puck. Soft hands too.

As alwasy, I love my Czechs and cheer.. the heart is amazing.. but 3 goals in 8 periods now. I know we're missing, arguably, our 2nd best forward in Pytlik but that isn't exactly going to ignite the scoring as he's more 200 foot player.

I’m just not seeing an NHLer with Kaliyev unless he drastically improves his game (specifically his play away from the puck) and his skating especially.

He’s been the worst skater on the ice in every game he’s been in. Even most of the Austrian guys looked faster than him.

and he seems to not even try to move.....always gliding I don't know why the coach won't wise up, put Brisson or Berard or someone who's active on that line and it'll make a big difference

I excepted more from the Czech. Sloppy passing in the first two periods. Hardly any high danger chances.

Czech goaler is fighting it as well. Pity!

I'm a big fan... but he needs a finisher with him... he'll never be 'the guy' but he'll be a good complimentary player in my opinion. Reminds me a bit of the Oiler's Tyler Benson.

No, Berard is playing with alot of effort, I saw him earlier mixing it up around the goal crease, Caufield is just floating on the perimeter. Maybe if he went to some of the dirty areas he would get going

To some extent it is. He is getting chances but he is not hitting the open spot when he normally does. He is still very weak defensively though.

If he’s not scoring, he’s not bringing much else to the table.

Seems almost disinterested and floats a lot, not the first time I’ve noticed that from him.

He should be a lot lower in the lineup from my viewings.

Caufield has been trash all tournament, enough with the excuses. Beniers just banked one off of Brink. Caufield is lucky to still be playing in a top 6 role at this point.

I honestly don't understand why the US coach hasn't moved Caufield up with Zegras anand turcotte to get him going. Kaliyev sucks. PP specialist and that's it in this tournament.
