The World Jr's is far more entertaining anyway.

Those Kids play their hearts out. I want the NHL out of the games for good.

NHL players should be banned from hunting in the off-season too, lest we have another Willie Mitchell on our hands.

I better not see any more fricking *****ing on the main boards about him. He did all he could. Maybe they can actually score some goals for him in the bronze medal game.
 
I expected more from team USA, but Canada closed space between the dots. Excelent defence.

and pros do not or what? As a Kings fan you should enjoy excelent defensive display by Team Canada.:help:
 
I think the NHL is done with the Games.

You could tell this year, a lot of these players were playing at half speed, trying not to get hurt.

These games were boring as hell, the only emotionally charged game was USA vs Russia.

That game was boring as hell. Canada after the first ten minutes looked asleep as well.

Let the Kids play, they are not worried about getting injured ,and destroying their livelihood.

There was zero emotion in that game.
 
I think the USA had a pretty good roster but just had a bunch of no-shows in this game and in the tournament.

Zach Parise just never got anything going, one flukey gift wrapped goal from Pavlec.

Joe Pavelski one PP goal that any of us could have put in, completely useless today five on five against Canada. Really had no business playing with Kessel but that shows Team USA's lack of talent down the middle.

Team USA is ok on the wing, Kane and Kessel are as skilled as they come, Parise is a good player who had a terrible tournament.

The biggest issues with team USA are the lack of a #1 center, seems like a long time ago when we had Modano, Roenick and Lafontaine. Kesler is an amazing 3rd line center on any team, but he isn't a #1 center in a best on best tournament. Pavelski looked really slow on the big ice and is another who ideally is a bottom six guy in best on best.

The other issue is the PP QB's, Suter is a great d-man but he is no Doughty/Weber or Karlsson when it comes to the PP. We need to develop another Leetch or develop a guy like Weber (hopefully Trouba). Shattenkirk had a very disappointing game today.
 
Zach Parise is a good winger, but the guy is not a game breaker.

He is just a no show in big games.

He had one great moment in 2010, and that's about it.
 
As a proud American I'm still very proud of our guys. They played their hearts out all tounament but they just hit a wall and looked tired and worned out. And seriously just look at that Canadien defense. Who's gonna score more then a goal or even two against them. Doughty-Vlasic, Keith-Weber, Peitrangelo-Boemeister, etc. etc.. I agree I think this should be the last Olympics with the pros. Even though I am in favor of sending the big boys. Go USA!

I'm hoping they rest Quick and let Miller play, I'd rather have Quick comeback a bit more rested then tired as hell with a ****ing bronze.
 
Am I the only one who was unimpressed with Suter? Team USA picked the wrong game to play like ****. At least Quick played awesome. It's funny how people on the main boards are still ragging on Brown, guess they didn't notice Parise not showing up.

How many athletes in the Summer and Winter Olympics are amateurs?

If you want to say you don't want the NHL to suspend the season for three weeks that's fine, but the amateur thing makes no sense. No one is an amateur at the Olympics in any of the marquee sports that people are willing to pay money to see.
 
Yet another sign of the p***yfication of our society. "Don't play or you might get hurt". That's ridiculous, playing for your country is an honor and the pros need to be doing it. Injuries can always happen, even when you're not playing. If ppl ever want hockey to make a mark in our great country, we need things that can unite Americans. This is the perfect thing. Keep the pros in the olympics!
 
the only thing that suxed about this game was that it was not for the gold medal, quickie as always showed he is a world class goalie if there were still doubters and all the kings players acquitted them selves well for these olympics, won't stop the hate on the main board when we win the cup again but should get kopi , doughty and quick a few more votes for this off seasons awards WAY TO GO BOYS :handclap: and now back to the season GO KINGS GO
 
If Patrick Kane ends a Kings season ever again, I swear I'll try to find the guy and ask why the **** he let Quick down in this game :shakehead

I'll be sure to run it by you the next movie I decide to see or book I decide to read, since you clearly know what we should all be enjoying. You realize plenty of people criticize people like us for "getting butthurt" over our teams losing in the playoffs, and here you go, doing the same thing with regards to the Olympics.

I personally love the Olympic tournament, I wish you were more into it, would love to hear some of the excuses you could come up with for Team USA getting shutout. Oh well, less than a week until the Kings return.

I seriously hate this guy. The one time he doesn't show up, I just... want to choke him! :rant:
 
I thought Kane was fine, he created about three Grade A chances that were miss fired or flubbed around the net.

Overall it looked like both teams were playing not to get hurt, there was zero emotion in this game.

Quick looked like the only guy that was competing, and took this game seriously.

Everyone else, including Canada looked like they were going through the motions.

2010 was a much better tournament.

Just the big ice again ruining the game.

It's the only downfall to Intl hockey, it's played on a stupid size rink.
 
I am going to be pretty selfish, and hope Quick doesn't start for the Bronze game.

I want him kicking back on the bench chilling.

Rest Quick please, team USA.
