He's not there to be a net front presence, he's there to be a shooter. They have twice passed the puck below the goal line for a one touch to Caulfield in the slot making it clear he's there to be a threat and not a screen...
They need to have him opening up for the one tee that his bread and butter

Hopefully the last blowouts of the tournament are Russia/Sweden vs Austria. I am completely for teams running up the score but these types of games become quite boring after there’s a 4-5 goal lead.

Yes, I'm absolutely heartbroken that we didn't take the small floater with no goals and instead took the captain who has a goal and 3 points so far in the tournament

I mean you aren’t heartbroken but you’re clearly emotionally impacted by it - otherwise you wouldn’t dedicate time to trashing Caufield so much. The guy seems to be on your mind a lot.

Hopefully this game gives the US some confidence. That being said, Austria is a long way from being Russia or Canada.

Yeah this game and the Canada one weren’t fun at all, and you can’t even analyze the teams really because it’s such a mismatch of talent.

Caufield? No. He's had every opportunity in the world though. He's just whiffed on each of 'em.
For a guy nicknamed Goal Caufield (named by Craig Button), he’s sure not showing his sniper ability in a meaningful game.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved his second goal against Finland, but that’s exhibition. When his team really needs him to score goals, can Caufield be relied upon?

The Germans are gonna get scored on a lot even with a full roster unless their goalies can step it up. They're nowhere near competitive.
