That final 3rd pairing spot looks pretty good for Nils. No one else has that kind of offense and Fox isn't enough for the entire D corp.

I don't disagree that he's getting the spot, been saying since before rookie camp that they have him penciled in there like they promised it to him but Schneider is the more ready dman out of all of them. I havent seen a bad play out of him since he got here.

It’s actually sad that everyone is hopping on the Lundkvist train, dude has loads of talent but has been absolutely worked over on the defensive end this pre-season….Jones and even Schneider have been better as defensemen, and would be much more beneficial grand scheme.

Nils will end up being an absolute dog, but he needs more seasoning on the defensive end, which has been glaringly obvious this pre-season.

You aren’t winning in this league with a goalie that can’t make high danger saves. Georgiev can’t and let’s up bad ones too. I’ve never seen him stop a breakaway I mean never. Soon as Marchand cut around Robertson I said goal

Blais looked good really good. I hope he is on the 2nd PP unit right in front of the net this season. Thought Laf looked kinda meh out there. Kakko looking like the one player that cares about these games lol.

N64s ability to get shots on goal will be why he makes the team.
2nd unit PP player and a sheltered 3rd pair role is all we need from him to start. And it will give him time to get acclimated.

Jones and Schneider as the first pair in Hartford, let them munch minutes and play all situations and in a year or two they will be better off for it and ready to effectively step in to the NHL.

Having a bunch of NHL ready prospects is a good thing, we don’t have to rush them like we’re accustomed to doing in the past. That’s why ppl are so argumentative about the whole Nils/Jones/Schneider debate. We’re used to having no farm system and as such, if a player is ready we gotta get them to The Rangers right away. Let them get really ready and then step in when there is an opening. Like Detroit used to do and Tampa currently does.

Still no pressure and a lack of puck support.
Will be very interesting to see how the D-pairs shake out for game-1
Kakko looks like he's going to be very a very good 200ft player, just really want to see the offense develop more
Strome is low-key one of the best Ranger trades ever, despite the crap he gets on here. Very solid 2nd line NHLer
Call me greedy, but I keep wanting to see more out of Laf, he should be noticeable on every shift

My biggest takeaway this preseason so far is how good KK looks. Guys just gross.
