That is weird, especially when Levi's not even in Buffalo (he's starting tonight for the Amerks again).

He spent about a minute praising UPL, and then said UPL took off when he saw another young capable goalie on the roster and that cause UPL to take the next step.

I am not sure how you could miss all the UPL praise and then view the Levi comment as “spending so much time talking about who Levi”

I didn’t miss it. I guess to me it seems like he starts off praising him, mentions Levi and then goes on a bit of a tangent about Levi.

I do get the counter argument that he is saying 6K has thrived with the competition it brings but still. You could read it either at. To me it just geels like Levi is the favoured child. Even when 6K has a shutout, Granato couldn’t help but make it about Levi.

As a manager if one of my team has done great things I don’t want to start talking about how good someone else is.

Merek complained through the entire episode of his podcast today about the disrespect that Buffalo and Granato give to UPL so it’s not just you. The only ones who disagree are the homers who always tend to defend Buffalo management and coaches no matter how bad they are.

Maybe UPL does not want to be around any more ?

Should see some very good goalies on the move by the deadline as well Saros, Markstrom, Allen, etc

The volatility of goaltending is something, that's for sure. I'm curious how this plays out though as we've seen some tenders fall apart after having a strong season. Not wishing that on UPL in the least, just curious if he goes the path of a Campbell or Samsonov.

So should the rest of the top 5 I posted above. None of them have more than 9 wins....and Daccord has 9 and has played 15 games.

The others all have 7 or 8 wins since Jan 1.
