Pretty sloppy fight by Du Plessis but he should have rounds 2&3.

He went into great detail there about what happened on the unfortunate take down in the first.

It was a weird start but I thought Du Plessis looked pretty good overall. He probably would've finished most people with those shots he landed. Tavares is just crazy tough and stayed in it.

Yeah, that's exactly why I didn't like his performance here. Lunging in from so far away isn't going to work well when he gets a step up in competition. Skills are there though and he hits hard.
