That went the exact opposite as how everyone thought it would go. Chandler going to town with ground and pound and Oliveira stunning him with a left hook.

I don't understand how someone goes from dominating the standup in round 1 to getting dropped in 10 seconds in the next.

Nice comeback for Oliveira!

Suspect chin.

Chandler v Gaethje anyone?

And who is Oliveira's first defense against?

I think they have to give him a fight before the Conor/Poirier winner. I want Gaethje to win a fight before he gets a shot...but if they wanted to book Gaethje/Oliveira I would get over it pretty quickly. I guess Dariush would be another option.

Chandler vs Gaethje is realistically next, but I think him vs Poirier would be a great fight

I wouldn't be surprised if Gaethje jumps right into a title shot. Gaethje has been wanting to fight so this isn't a Colby situation where he's just sitting around declining fights.

If that was stopped during the 1st round I wouldn't have been mad. I've seen a lot worse stopages but God damn what a comeback for Olivera. I'm happy for him but I can see this being a coursel of champions for a little bit. Gaethje and Poirer as former interim Champs who can give him a run for his money and Chandler looked like he could dominate him before getting caught.

Give him Gaethje in August and then winner of that gets winner of Conor and Poirier at Christmas.

I think this is a great plan. I'd like to see Chandler/Dariush in the mix too. Next 3 are Gaethje, winner of Chandler/Daruish, winner of Connor/Poirier. Then eventually Makhachev comes up and keeps the belt for a while.
