I hope that Nils Lundkvist is playing for Sweden U18 - his last year and a Rangers prospect, but maybe he plays for Sweden in May he is that good. :)
  • Draft: 2018 NYR, 1st rd, 28th pk (28th overall)
He isn’t eligible. No prospect in this tourney is NHL affiliated yet. Most are draft eligible along with some 2020 guys sprinkled in

Cajkovic will score more in the U18 WJCs than he did during a season in the Q. ;)
Cajkovic is a name to watch for sure. He was a consensus 1st rounder before the season and there was talk he could be top 15 by the end of the season, his Q team is garbage though which is why his stats aren’t pretty. I could see us being interested in him with our 2nd though, he’s a hot head and he hustles hard. Will fit right in

Hawks will get him for sure - they will go after the best player in the draft unless they start with a defender that can`t miss in Byram. They are lucky who went up 9 spots in the lottery, but kind of deserved it too since they played really good hockey end of this season just like Rangers.

I could see him drop a little. But who knows.

Yeah maybe @Ola - I just saw norway U18 lost 5-2 in hockey - a huge different from norwegian U18 soccer team - too many play soccer where I live. :)

Kakko playing against Norway now in hockey for men. ;)

2-1 lead Finland.

Yeah, my bet is that someone will gamble on him before it starts to get really exciting. Great speed, great one-timer. He got nifty hands. But still a little square for my liking, if we are talking about mid-2nd. But sure, he do have potential.

Damn the whole 3-8 center class died

Yeah and Turcotte was a last min call as I understand it, crazy.

Like Sweden in the 14’ Olympics. Lost their 4 top centers. Hank Sedin injured, Zetterberg injured, Bäckström caught for some astma spray because the doc hadn’t listed it. I don’t remember who the 4th was, someone... ;)

Yeah, but both of Sweden’s goto players are 2020 eligible, Raymond and Holtz.

Compare how they match-up tonight as 16 y/os against Hughes and co and you will a teller on how good next seasons drafts.

Anyone know if the Canada-Finland game will be on onhockey.tv ? Can’t find it

Edit-nvm I’ll watch it at 6 am tomorrow on NHLN

Turcotte looking like a NYR already ( for those not watching, he got robbed/shot at the goalie with an open net )

Sweden playing a really physical game... like it

Bjornfot looked good, Sweden defense was solid in the first.

Holtz, what a player, next years top players just look insane.
Seriously. It’s incredible how good the 2020 class is. No McDavid (though Laf is great) but the depth in 2020 is better than 2015. Watching Holloway, Lundell, and Zary dominate right now and Drysdale and Simontaival have looked good as well. Laf, Lundell, Perfetti, Byfield, Holloway, Zary, Raymond, Gunler, Holtz, Rossi, Mysak etc. Any one of these guys would be around top 5 this year which is crazy

It’s completely stacked. A lot of teams are going to walk away with a great player(s).

Turcotte is closing in on that #2nd oa spot in 2019. :)
A great pass from Jack Hughes! ;)
