I head about Laine being kusipää but he's body language wasn't like that at all there. Usually you see leija's being leija's just by their behavior.

This was like 2012 U-20 QF when Finland got undeserved win from Slovakia.

I have to say that "undeserved wins" are rather rare, almost non-existent...

Anyway, Laine is rather impressive, very un-Finnish shot that doesn't find the logo or the first defender. And he is really a young boy still, I don't think we really know much anything about his attitude and personality apart from that he is one of the top talents of his age class worldwide.

And one good thing about Laine is that he is on his best when he wears national team jersey. If I have to trust one player in a gold medal game it is Laine. I hope he plays 40 minutes; 36 minutes in a first 2 periods and 4 minutes in a thirth period when we defend our lead.

Well, we know that there have been "incidents", though it's not really all that shocking to see teenagers lashing out against authority when you think about it. But he really is a talented player, and maturity tends to come with age so it's not the end of the world or anything. And also at least as far as on-ice events go, he does play a "selfish" game, which is actually part of the reason why he is so effective. Every superstar wants the puck on their stick almost all the time. They want to be the one who makes the big play, and that's what makes them superstars.

The fact that he's been working with a sports psychologist tells me that his head has needed to be screwed on the right path.

As long as they don't put him in too big of a role and keep Puljujärvi right where he is, this should be good. He can make a difference, and we already have quite a difference to make up even before the puck drops .

I think he'll be put alongside Puljujärvi since they've played so much together. It will give us more line depth.

It will also break the line that has produced nearly all of the offense. Huge gamble. I would prefer to put him with Nättinen and Tammela or something.

Even with their fans wildly cheering them on...Not expecting much from Swiss tomorrow...tough to play late, then early game, plus they came so-ooo close to upsetting Fins, bound to be a let down.

Even if they wouldn't admit it, our boyz knew they were underdogs vs Yanks. Can't see them going home without a medal.

Suomi will be in tough too tomorrow. Maybe they can keep it close for a while, BUT ultimately Yanks win decisively. Be VERY surprised (pleasantly so ) to be wrong...
