until his JohnHancock is on an extension, Im not happy.
Damn, I wish Pasta was done so everyone knew what they have to work with

Edited Post Pasta announcement - I'm dumb.

Part of me wonders if Don doesn't believe in paying players over $10 mil...You see what happens to Toronto/Edmonton. It's damaging to the overall team make up.

Dumb question...season ends. Bruins win the cup. Pasta still unsigned. Can they still trade Pasta? Or they get nothing? Perhaps they sign now and trade in the summer?

Coming in peace.

Can we get a scouting report for the Bruins Board?

Marchand lite.

He's f***ing awesome and I'm sad

Has a hard time staying healthy tough

Will fight for anyone on his team, tenacious, solid player with grit to have on your team.

No idea where he would fit best in the Bruins lineup, but he is absolutely a dangerous weapon to have.

Pretty much everyone says this is officially the last hurrah for this core. If that’s the case, you can’t argue going for it.

From what I know, issues with Bertuzzi are largely along political lines. Now before I get into defending him, let me just say that I’m a staunch advocate of vaccination. But I also don’t believe everyone who doesn’t see eye to eye with me is some terrible, evil individual. I’ll leave it at that before the post gets deleted.

If this really is it for this core group of players, then “going for it” is the only option especially considering this historic regular season. Based on the eastern conference (and Atlantic division) this year, “going for it” means loading the f*** up. This is a good move.

IMO that's worrisome...because you have to wonder if they are getting some insurance because of something Pasta has told them. Maybe I'm just looking into it a bit too much.
This may be unpopular, but I greatly prefer him as a rental. Orlov is the guy I want to extend and that will take surgery so no room at the inn unless he wants to play for the minimum. My hope it that a good playoff run allows him to get a good salary elsewhere.

Plays both ends well enough but a bit overrated in the defensive zone...can play on any of your 4 lines though easily. Better skater than he was early in his career, extremely physical, first guy in and last guy out of every scrum. Teammates love him. Effective on the PP, capable of scoring goals but note that last year was the outlier, not the norm for his career.

Think he's a great addition for your cup run but I don't think ANYONE should give him anything more than 2 years after that. He can't stay healthy and his injury problems will only get worse as he gets older. He's healthy now though so no worries at the moment.

That all those charts are with the Red Wings. Means absolutely nothing with how he will fair on the Bruins

Every trade now you see some chart. Who cares. New team
That is correct Lou.I am not sure what to say without knowing Hall Foligno status but being fair to Donny he was against it if bad news there

they own his rights until Free Agency date usually in July. After that he’s free to do whatever he likes.

Nobody who has complained about DS middling around for years, myself included, can complain this season. People said either go all-in or go for the rebuild. This is as all-in as it gets for the Bs. Prices have been insane. DS has come out of looking really good in addressing team needs as they relate to what he has paid for those pieces relative to other teams. He's striking while the iron is hot.
