I watched him play a few times (never live) and have watched some youtube videos he's a complete package and if he has found a home he will thrive.

What another beauty of a pass... Krejci just could get off a clean shot.

Yeah trade 48, 28, 6,11 and 71. So easy right?
48(always and forever, too small and fragile(@200lb and all star, @ 170lb a playoff liability), 6(find a sucker), and 71(developed the same problems he had elsewhere, lost his finish and confidence)

Rather have 81, and 59. 11 is just figuring it out, he's a great middle 6 guy,
I'd keep 21 if possible.

All 3 TDL pickups are much better 2 way players than I thought they were.
81 way more offense!!
59 smart hockey player, fits B's style of offense. Very responsible.
21 much better defensive player than expected, not just a goon. PK, backchecking, just surprised.

it was sad to see the trade. i love bert and i hope by some miracle wings bring him back in the offseason. Boston you got a good one over there.
This trade was low key the best one. Boston somehow added Orlov Hathaway and friggin bertuzzi. How on earth did Sweeney pull this off?

What does everyone think so far?
Overall, I love the guy. I like the way he plays and sees the ice. His first 3 games I would say his passing IQ and skill are basically top of the team, and I legit mean that. Truly magical.

It does seem like he doesn't have a ton of hussle yet, not sure if it's his style. I also do get a weird vibe wondering whether he is really happy and settling in yet or not. Just a vibe.

He was pretty invisible in the Detroit game(s), and I wonder if he's struggling with mental/emotional aspects.

I do worry a bit he won't want to stay here.

I hope we continue to see him settle in, his skills are amazing, and he was born to be a Bruin as well. Would be a fan favorite if he gets into his stride and decides to stay.

It's a bit of what I was worried about the day of the trade. 13 doesn't shoot and 59 doesn't shoot. Together on a line someone has to shoot.

I think he’s still a bit shocked by it all. Especially having to face your best friends back to back so soon.
Yeah, I don't think it helped his adjustment when in like his 3rd and 4th games he has to play a back-to-back against his old team

Bertuzzi has done well with the Bs so far. A lot of really nice passes that could have set up scoring chances had his linemates decided to shoot and/or been ready for his pass. Something I noticed in both games against the Wings is what he does away from the puck. Several very noticeable times he was able to float into an empty space in a high danger area, but unfortunately his linemates didn't get him the puck. He seems sneaky in terms of being able to lose his man and find space. Hoping the coaches point that out when looking at the films, and it results in his linemates looking for him more.

Spent some time today watching some of his games with the Wings last season when he scored 30 goals. Although 23 of his 30 goals were even strength last season, dude is legit on the PP. Garbage city master in front of the net creating havoc for the goalie and D. With the Bs PP issues, I would definitely be parking his ass around the crease every chance I got on either PP1 or PP2. Also fun to watch him defend his teammates under any circumstance. Easy to see why the Wings players loved him so much.

This guy is a complete player. I think we will see more of that once he gets acclimated more to the Bs system and his teammates. If I'm Monty I give him some more games on the 2nd line. With Krejci and Bertuzzi feeding Pasta passes good things are bound to happen. Also Bertuzzi on that line gives Pasta some protection. Not sure it the production will be greater than with Zacha on the 2nd line, but I'd at least give it a string of games to see if something develops.

This right here. This road trip couldn’t come at a better time. A week with the guys to get to know them and while they aren’t practicing, I’m sure they are having meetings and he’s learning the system and his role.

The pieces are there just gotta put it all together.

He reminds me a lot of Peverley.
