I wouldn't say craters, but it surely doesn't help it.
I still think he would have value. Just much much less than if he didn’t have those issues.
You remove any Canadian team and anyone who thinks they may face a Canadian team in the playoffs from the pool of teams that would be interested in him.
And even among the teams left they see a depressed value because they know he will miss games.

Low IQ player with a questionable effect in the locker room. Not sure if he has positive value

Very true, I agree.

He will miss games this year, but he still has another year left on his contract, maybe that evens it out...? IDK.

Maybe he decided not to get vaccinated so that he wouldn't be traded???? (Tin foil hat officially on)

Would hate to trade him tbh. Heart and soul guy. It hurts that he made such a bad decision with the vaccination because other than that I absolutely love the guy.

Need a 1st round pick + center prospect at minimum imo.

Why don't you show me what a Bertuzzi trade would look like?

You're obviously an expert on the trade value of players...

So you think you can obtain Bert (at 50%) AND Hronek for those offers? Think again.

Bert is untradeable. His value is at an all time high for the Wings, while his value to other teams will remain lowered due to his vaccine status. Again, it's his right to be uneducated about the vaccine, but it doesn't mean it isn't irritating.

I'm loving his play thus far this year, he's really, really come into his own with Raymond opposite him. But his decision remains a sore spot. If/when Canada eases their restrictions, then maybe we can talk.

He thought again and came up right. What's the problem?

Doesn't this scream LA? Stays in US
They wanted a top 6 guy.
LA has prospects or picks DET could use.

Browns big caphit comes off book to eventually pay Bert, who can extend this upcoming July.
Would still allow Brown to re-sign on a 35+ deal.
As a kings fan i would love to at him. However i dunno what the offer would be however at least one of Kempe or Athanisou would have to be included .

I wouldn't say craters, but it surely doesn't help it.

Seven teams are right out of the window, and the only the only division without a Canadian team in it (meaning between 3 and 9 games to be missed) is the Metro division. Narrowing it down even further, how many of those 8 teams need a winger? Then I'm sure there are teams that have their own Covid policies regarding vaccines.

Not all of my parring down mean it's the end of the road for negotiations, but before taking team needs into account, we're already down to 8 teams that could get optimal value.

Rangers abs kings should be all over trying to trade for him. He’s very very good. Playing more like a power forward this year with silky mitts.

I'd love him but I can't imagine we'd give up what it takes. Like a lottery protected 1st and a Madden/Thomas tier prospect (no turcotte, byfield, clarke, kaliyev). I think DET could get more guarantees at the deadline from a playoff team, a lower 1st but a top tier prospect, especially if he continues staying healthy and ripping it up.

On the short list of players I've wanted on the Oilers but without being vaccinated that's not an option for a Canadian club. You have to think it effects his value to any team that believes they could face a Canadian team in the playoffs also. He's tradeable obviously but top value isn't coming back cause limiting teams does effect value.

He'd pretty much have to be kept in the East where on the Leafs could be a 1st round opponent.

Why would you do this when Bertuzzi isn't even eligible to play in Canada?

Because Tkachuk doesn't even want to play in Canada, plus this would be hypothetically done in the off-season. Mandate may not carry though to next season. No deal if it does.

Detroit has no need to change Tyler Bertuzzi on this deadline. Exchange is possible upon receipt of good compensation. Or an overpayment exchange. It can be any team.

Tyler Bertuzzi (@50% ret).
Preferred exchange for an ELC player with good potential.

For example, the exchange involves:
Colorado Avalanche - Alex Newhook
Los Angeles Kings - Alex Turcotte

Various additions are possible.

Are you really going to point out that you’re an Oilers fan then bash the Leafs playoff failures?

Yeah our core has vastly underperformed there, but it’s been 5 years since your team even won a playoff game…..

On what planet is Tyler Bertuzzi worth Miller, Kravtsov, a 1st, and even more?
On a planet where people aren’t NYR fans and know…

-Kratsov has shown next to nothing at the NHL level. Honestly has a much greater than 50% chance he never plays 100 games in the NH rather than has a successful career here. Wings fans think Zadina is a bust, can only imagine if a similarly aged playerdraffed in a similar place had Kratsov’s stat line. He was on pace for 16 points. For reference Givani Smith, an offensive black hole who is the closest Wings equivalent to Ryan Reeves, is pacing for 13 in 82 so far in his career. Kratsov is a throw in level asset. He is at most worth a very late second. By now everyone knows the NYR system has likely ruined him.

-Miller is a fine young player but far from a game breaker. I doubt anyone think he’s got top pairing potential.

-Rangers first would obviously be lotto protected and more likely in the mid teens.

-Bertuzzi is top 10 in goals this year and at the time of that comment would have led the Rangers in points by a comfortable margin. If there is a sign and trade extension, you’re paying a lot for a youngish first line winger with 5-6 years of prime left.

If Bert stop being an idiot and gets vaxxed he’s worth at least that package.
