He may not of hit the ground running. but I think it's safe to say he's settling in on the 3rd pair.
He looks like a 2nd, slightly more physical Kulak out there, which isn't a bad thing. GIve me another 30 quality games, and I'd be willing to give him another look with Nurse come January.
I think his biggest fix is just cleaning up his puck play.
Positioning is more or less fine, he moves fairly well, isn't afraid to play physically, and his puck skills don't seem bad either. He can be a bit of a turnover machine, but it isn't out of a place of stupidity or poor intent. He's trying to make quick, crisp passing plays, but those are currently often resulting in turnovers. He probably needs to slow down and simplify a bit more before he is snapping outlet passes up the middle like he is trying (and failing) to do now.
