Reaves came out with the story a few years ago. His father did the research. Be sure to watch the series. It's pretty good.

I'm watching it. Caught up with the latest episode last night. It is good. Typical over the top Sheridan violence, but the characters are excellent. And he always gets some aging Hollywood star to chew some scenery, and Sutherland is that man. His few scenes are worth the price of admission.

I actually like that version of Salem's Lot better than The Shining. Kubrick's vision is just too far from the book, making Jack the evil and not the hotel itself. The David Soul Salem's is very close to the book (and the book terrified me as a kid, I slept with a crucifix under my pillow for months).

Paradoxically, the film version of Christine does the opposite: it makes the car evil, not the ghost of George LeBay.

Enjoyed Kubrick's film, though there are elements of The Shining miniseries (1997) I appreciated,

The Night Stalker, (1972)

The Night Strangler, (1973)
The local MeTV station ( out of Bellingham, Washington played those 2 movies around Halloween. Being a big fan of The Night Stalker tv series I was embarrassed that I didn't even know these 2 movies even existed. I thought The Night Stalker was very good and The Night Strangler was OK.

Probably my favorite show on TV came back this week for Season 4...and it's one that flies under the radar a bit, For All Mankind on Apple TV.

For those haven't seen it, HIGHLY recommend. Alternate history that starts during the space race. Great cast, story, visuals, and soundtrack.

Just finished this last night. It was a 3 parter on AMC over 3 consecutive nights.

Its interesting to me from the history of smart phones and the cut throat deals made.
But even more interesting was scoundrel Co CEO Jim Balsillie . The 3rd part went into his attempt to buy the Penguins whilst behind Bettman’s back also looking to move them to Hamilton. If its streaming or comes back on check it out.

finished watching the 4 part Doc on Robbie Williams. Can`t say I`ve ever been a fan but I often enjoy music docs, other than the fact so much of this was filmed with Williams wearing his speedo undies, really interesting.

Another case of a kid getting too much too soon, not knowing how to handle the fame and self destructing. One thing I did really like about it was , even when young, how candid he was about how he was feeling, what was maddening is nobody seemed to do anything to actively help him but I also understand that understanding mental health way back when isn`t like it is now.

Give it a watch

Picked up Paramount+ a few weeks ago. The Fiance & I have a small overlap in shows we enjoy but she watched some Stallone reality TV show so I said let's try Tulsa King. We really enjoyed that. Serious enough but with good comedic elements. We enjoyed it much more than the Arnold Fubar show on Netflix. After that we did Mayor of Kingstown (Jeremy Renner is the main). We are both really into it, and have 2 or 3 episodes left in S2 (only 2 out so far, third was approved but I'm not sure how that'll go with what happened to Renner).

Would recommend both pretty highly. Neither are exactly The Wire, but they are both solid. Not sure what's next for us. I'll likely propose that Robin Williams doc that @ODAAT mentioned. She's got ADHD so its tough to find shows we'll both sit through haha

I remember the Hamilton business.

Will pass along to my brother Michael, a former Blackberry IT engineer.

Watching the Raid on Entebbe with Charles Bronson and Yaphet Kotto. For a movie that got a release in international theaters, it sure has some clear signs of being a TV movie. Also...Yaphet Kotto, as much as I like him as an actor, isn't as good as Forest Whittaker when playing Idi Amin.

New season (well 1/2 season) of The Crown is on Netflix.

My sister loves the series. I won't watch it because I know the series stretches the truth too much. I get it, the series is an interpretation of events but I'm too much of a history purist to go along with it.
