Show never gets old.

Not only that the references of the show stick into your head. I was reading a news article talking about the East River and the Hudson River and how they are getting clean enough to see humpback whales and potentially even swim in. First thing I instantly thought of Kramer swimming in the East River because the pools were crowded and just started giggling.

watched first two episodes of Billy the Kid on Paramount + last night, enjoyable so far, a little slow coming out of the gate but that`s only because the focus has been when he was young and what groomed him to become who he eventually did

One episode left of a Peaky Blinders.

The final season has been a bit too abstract for me, but at this point might as well finish it.

Edit: Pretty amazing finale and good playoff to the different threads.

Showtime on HBO might be the best show I’ve seen this year. I’m not even really a basketball guy but I cant stop watching.

I loved season 1, just started season 2 last night. Adrien Brody is so good as Pat Riley. And Jerry West is the best character on the show even though it's not like the real Jerry West and he hates it.

Looks like you jinxed it.

That sucks, they only even got up to 1984 on it. Between the licensing costs, the heavy pushback from the people being depicted, and probably most decisively the writer's strike, I can see why HBO would pull the plug. But it feels incomplete. But at least we don't have to watch the half of the decade where they had the upper hand on the Celtics.

What is worse is that Will Ferrell had a massive falling out with Adam McKay & John C. Reilly over this show and HBO didn't even let it play out to the end.

Ads are coming to Amazon Prime. :banghead:

from cp24.com:

Amazon Prime Video will include advertising during shows and movies starting early next year, joining other streaming services that have added different tiers of subscriptions.

Members of Amazon Prime can pay $2.99 per month in the U.S. to keep their service ad-free, the company said Friday.

Streaming services are in a heated tug-of-war over viewers and users are growing more adept at jumping in and out of those services, often depending on price. The platforms risk losing customers with price hikes, but they could lose them if they don't generate new content that wins over users.

Ads in Prime Video content will start in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Canada in early 2024, followed by France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Australia later in the year.

Amazon said that it's not making changes to the price of Prime membership next year. It plans to announce pricing for ad-free programming for countries other than the U.S. at a later time.

For U.S. users, Amazon said it will send out an email to Prime members several weeks before ads are introduced into its programs with information on how to sign up for the ad-free option if they choose to do so.

Full story: Amazon Prime Video will soon come with ads, or a monthly charge to dodge them

Adam McKay and Will Ferrell have worked together since the SNL days, they are very good friends. They always work things out, I am sure of it, having worked on StepBrothers and the First season the Laker Project.
They are both good guys along with John C Reilly as well.
