TV Movie Thread Part Iii

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

us book fans are pushing hard for more people to watch (hence my posting here), because the end (and they’ve already foreshadowed some big plot beats) are amazing.

And most importantly this is not an unfinished story, it’s entirely finished and wrapped.
Honestly this thread is probably going to get me to give it a shot.

I liked the first season but gave up after the first episode of the second season.
I felt that way about 3 episodes in....the jumping from "here" to "there" and the forays into the past got a bit confusing after a while....but I decided to soldier on. I'm halfway through ep 9, so I may as well finish it off.

I finished it and on the whole S2 wasn't bad. TBH I was a lot more confused and it was more difficult to push through the first 3 episodes of S1.

P.S. I think they made a bit too big of deal re. Solo "revelation".

Finishing up season 2 of Silo....can't say it's making me crave a third season.
Knowing the story, I enjoyed the concept but never really liked the direction they went in (books). I imagine the 3rd season is going to be a bit meh for me.

Speaking of 2nd seasons, I finished Severance and can't say it's making me crave a 3rd season.

Really been enjoying Daredevil Born Again.

I'm finishing up the last episode of Silo season 2...

The concept is excellent......and I was thinking the books might be better.

What has me so bewildered is the fact that for the first 8 episodes of each season, the show drags until you're practically comatose....then suddenly it picks up in the last two episodes. Makes no sense.

Yeah, I'm mixed about this show. Not sure what to think of it at this point.
I'm giving up, I'm not really enjoying it.

Nicole Kidman's "Holland" is on Prime. I'm excited for 3 reasons. I think it will be good, my dad is from MI, and my grandfather immigrated from Holland and Holland MI is a big Dutch tourist spot. I'm looking forward to the scenery.

Wrapped up Reacher season 3. The final episodes were ok but honestly were a bit of a letdown. The front half of the 8 episodes was definitely better. The writing quality in the series has fallen. Some plot holes were as big as Reacher himself.

I really like Saoirse Ronan, so I gave Brooklyn a go, after watching Blitz a few months back, and enjoyed it.

The Brutalist was awesome.

GoT recipe

I have someone from UK recommending me a Turkish sci-fi series called Midnight at Pera Palace on Netflix. Does anyone know if it's on Netflix US and if anyone has seen it?

Started watching season 2 of Severance....have decided to drop it -- after 15 minutes of ep 1 I was totally confused and I'm not up to rewatching season 1.
