Satisfying conclusion. The whole thing was corny as hell but worth the nearly seven year ride.
It was definitely cheesy at (many) times, but overall, I loved the series. Maybe I'm just sentimental, but I loved the Johnny arc. I thought he was hilarious. We could have had a great series just with him alone. Maybe Larusso was the villain the whole time like that video on YT suggested many years ago.

Ending was definitely satisfying. I guess I can dump Netflix now because I can never find anything worth watching other than movies I already own on dvd.

I think I moved on after season 2. Should I have continued?
I think there was a lull around the season 2 & 3, but it got better after they brought back Silver at the end of s3. Kreese had a decent arc. I really enjoyed the Chosen character (from Karate Kid 2).

So yeah, I probably would stick with it. We're not talking Band of Brothers here, but its' fun.

The series did everything deftly, respecting the legacy and adding original material. It did that well for like 5+ seasons until it began retconning some things, but those can be forgiven in the ultimate scheme of things. I always felt it was Johnny's series more than Daniel's also. The intricate webs that drove the allegiance switches were fun. And those cameos of Karate Kid characters over the six seasons were so freaking awesome.

Surviving Black Hawk Down was good. The juxteposition of what both sides went through and Clinton standing there in a shuit and tie rubs me the wrong way.
I'm eyeing it as a watch, but after Zero Day.

Yeah, it's not prestige TV, but it's fun as hell. If you're the nostalgic type, they ramp it up after season 2. You'll really enjoy them bringing back KK characters and then mixing them up in the storylines. You get to watch Mike Barnes take on Johnny, Kreese on Silver, etc.

I found Surviving Black Hawk Down to be underwhelming overall. It was good to get some Somalian perspective into the story, especially the footage captured by 'Five', but for the most part it felt like it was just re-telling the movie story again without providing very much that was new.
Bowden's (excellent) book was is 25 years old, but contained much more in the way of interviews etc that stick with you, than anything in this series.
Obviously they were limited by who would or could take part, but not getting a perspective of the clusterf*** from a rank higher than a single LT felt like a missed opportunity.
They seemed to just ignore/gloss over a lot of what could have been useful too, including:
- better background on why the US/UN was there in the first place
- events in the lead up to the raid (the July 12 raid, the Pakistani's shooting protestors, a Black Hawk being shot down by militia about a week before this raid)
- planning of the raid, expected results and 'actions on'
- the insertion of the pararescue team at the first crash site
- the use of the Little Birds (and the broader question of appropriate fire support)
- the makeup of the rescue convey and the issues with its multi-national makeup

I guess what I'm saying is, if you've never read Black Hawk Down you really should :)

Has anybody been watching the medical drama The Pitt ? As a rule I never watch them type of shows but this one caught my attention while channel surfing the other evening . I like the cast and the writing so far makes it very good viewing . It's a bit bloody but not overly IMO . It moves very fast .

I watched The Outwaters on Prime. I am a big horror movie fan and give a lot of leeway to new directors to the genre, but this was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Found footage meets Event Horizon, with some Lovecraft stuff thrown in. A complete failure on every level. It was aiming for the creepiness of Horror in the High Desert as far as low budget found footage horror flicks go, but lacked any of that film’s skill.

A shameful effort at filmmaking. Avoid at all costs. I want a medal for making it all the way to the end.

I haven't watched a medical show since early ER and St. Elsewhere, but I put this one in the background one day and shockingly started paying attention to it. It's very good. Lots of interesting characters

Binging Season 3 of The Traitors. As a life long Challenge fan I’m hoping for Wes to win.

Alan is wild with his wardrobe.

This season is crazy. Did you watch s2 with Bananas, CT, and Trishelle?
