Some of y'all have way fancier tastes than me. I'm fine with Stove Top drowned in gravy :laugh:
From Thanksgiving to about Xmas I get on a Pilgrim sandwich addiction and make boxed Stove Top for them every couple of days - still love it, wife makes fun of me for liking the boxed stuffing more than 'real' stuffing.

I end up eating turkey breast, box of stuffing, jarred gravy, and jellied cranberry sauce for about a month straight then refuse to even look at turkey again until the following Thanksgiving. Thankfully we do ham at Xmas and a roast at Easter.

The only thing I miss about not cooking a turkey on Thanksgiving is missing out on leftover turkey sandwiches the next couple days.

My dad used to be in charge of the cheese/ pickles/cranberry sauce platter every year. Cheese had to be Cracker Barrel Extra Sharp Cheddar, cut into precise cubes. He was the king of being precise lol. Cranberry sauce was straight out of the can, sliced. I only ever ate the cheese. I have the glass platter that we used. Last year I used it as my plate :laugh: it was perfect with compartments for everything. Hey, when you're single you can do what ya want!

That plate sounds like my family. I was trying to remember if we did both green olives and pickles and now I can't remember for sure. Probably because I hate both lol.

Anyway, this is the platter and every time I use it I can picture my dad putting everything together on it. One of my favorite Thanksgiving memories

I will devour a Pilgrim sandwich anytime of year.

That's what I'm making. I wish I could remember my grandmother's recipe, she used the turkey gizzards.

I've always loved the leftovers more than the meal. I gorge on turkey w/fixings, turkey sandwiches and turkey pie (no turkey soup. I can't stand it) until New Year's Day. 🦃

Little work vent

Im the most dependable person at my job. Come in early, stay late, come in on days off let them change my schedule around. Work hard and am given more responsibilities.

This holiday week I only work 4 days which is ok Im told others need hours so I said thats fine plus its the holiday.

I ask if after holidays Ill go back to 5 days since I am fulltime and need fulltime hours for benefits. I get some song and dance how now they have 2 new people and hours are performance based. “For everyone”


Now I been annoyed with this since yesterday


I could be overreacting because last time I was told hours were being cut I was fired like 2 weeks later. Txted my boss and plan on talking to him today. Part of me just wants to give up and now do less but I like my job so Im going to keep working hard and hopefully this is just a non issue I am overthinking.


What baffles me is one of the new people doesnt even speak english.

Maybe you need a different type of job as this one always seems to go the same way for you?

Nah im probably overreacting. The sui chef makes the schedule but my executive chef relies on me in the mornings

If you cant speak a language how can u communicate with expo. I be too busy to help
