We have been in our current home 5 years and it has sliding shower doors. My daughter is 11 so only has showered in our current home. When we were on vacation she almost flooded the bathroom because she was showering with the curtain out. Woops, cant blame her though, kid only knew one way to shower.
Upstairs tenant did that recently. Flooded the place good. We had water coming through our ceiling fixtures and could hear it streaming down through the walls. It made it to the basement. Now that we moved out and it’s time to clean the first floor for another rental, we are finding lots of bubbled paint where the flood happened

Fun

Sad that I missed the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds together at the last show of the season in Pensacola.

They had a change of command....holy cow that looks like a lot of medals on those guys 👀 especially the new guy on the right

@RoccoF14 is that actually a lot by navy standards? lol

Yep. Guy on the right is a Mater Chief, and he's got at least 24yrs of service (Each gold chevron on his sleeve is 4yrs active service). He's also got his Enlisted Aircrew wings and multiple Air Medals, so he was probably a crewman on helos and has flown multiple combat missions.

I did 10yrs, and I can say with confidence that that Master Chief has probably pissed more saltwater than I sailed on.......Much respect.

The CO (guy on the left) looks like his Legion of Merit is on crooked and about to fall off.....He might have just got that award.

Thanks, I was wondering what the significance of the stripes was. Cool!

Next Monday is Veteran's Day. Wanna thank a Veteran? Get off your asses and vote. If you already have, thank you. You don't need to let me know.

Talk is cheap, actions speak louder than words. PLEASE do not turn this into a political discussion on who to vote for. Just freakin' vote your conscience.

Apologies to the mods if this crossed the line....

I don't bet, but the horse that came 2nd was my tip. Very nearly got there. The winner was a real roughie that's had a pretty miserable year. Win one big race though, THE big race for Oz, and boom, $4 million headed to its owners and all else counts for nothing. Nice to see a proper outsider salute in a major race now and then.

my wife “misses” the seasons

looking to plan a cold weather vacation, anyone been to jackson hole?

I've been to Jackson, but in summer not in winter. Town itself is pleasant enough. In terms of nearby parks, Yellowstone gets most of the attention, and deservedly so, but Grand Teton NP is closer and IMO is beautiful and amazing in its own right. Probably not a huge amount to do there in winter, apart from skiing, but the views alone should be spectacular on a clear day. Well worth checking out.
