Sather 4 Ever
Two players they use for the Rangers LW positions aren't even going to be on the roster this year, only remaining in the organization as nothing more than 14th and 15th forwards on the depth chart.
Kreider
Panarin
Blais
Goodrow
Is most likely how they start the season barring a breakout form Othmann or Cuylle in camp.
Something is off in the analysis if you're concluding that you'd rather have any of Seattle or Toronto's collections of LW over Panarin and Kreider. A 96 point LW and a 52 goal scoring LW, don't they provide far more value, even if it means having a plug on the 4LW?
Isn't the difference between having Panarin and Kreider as your top two LWs instead of Jaden Schwartz and Jared McCann far more impactful than having Ryan Donato as your 4LW over (hypothetically) Julien Gauthier? I feel like I'm really missing something here.
Wouldn't you rather have your LWs score 100, 70, 30, 15 points 1-4 even with that huge dropoff instead of having them score 60, 50, 45, 40 even if the second appears to be a more well rounded group? Isn't the overall body of work better with the first group even if it appears more "top-heavy" ?
