Corporations don't even want to pretend to give us a hug anymore. All they care about is maximizing their money however they can and give no f***s about consumers. The amount of players has only shrunk leaving only the giants standing that will surely tighten the noose as they get more and more power to do so. It really does make me want to start just sitting on the sidelines and doing something else with the time.
I definitely watch a lot less NFL football than I used to. I find I’m reading more than turning on the TV these days. If you have a library card, the books are free and I live close to the library. There’s an enormous selection available. DVDs are free too.

When you see the picture, you’ll wish they had all the games.
Especially if have 4K TV.
I get some games on the 4K channel from TSN and Sportsnet, and looks better than those.
Hmm, I watched the EDM MTL game last night on prime and thought it looked pretty good, but I didn't have it on my good tv, I'll have to check out next week's game on the home theater setup.

Thanks for the tip.

You can go back and FF into the Habs/Oilers game anytime you want, and check it out, up until next Monday
not sure if they keep games past a week, I haven’t checked.

Definitely not a bad thing. There's lots else in life to enjoy without high entry fees or feeling like you're being taken advantage of. I've done this sports thing all my life. I will continue to do so to a certain extent, but I've also detached more than ever and there's limits to how far I will go. Lots of other things in life to enjoy and I'd rather bow out than feel like I'm compromising my values like I would if I got Prime simply because they bought 1 game a weeks exclusive rights. I'll use my free month for 1 of the 2 exclusive Sens games and cancel after, then I'll just do without the other one. Or just stream the shit for free elsewhere like many people do. Our Corporate Overlords have no shame in what they want to squeeze, and will surely dump human workforce on their asses for robots, so imo, the general public should react accordingly. Especially considering elected officials these days seem to be so devoid of any moral integrity that we all basically have built in excuses to act the same./rant lol

That’s how it works in every NHL city, you need to subscribe to the local broadcast on regional nights. The team has zero say in it.
Not saying it’s good, but that’s how it works for every team.
We're getting our apples and oranges mixed up here

This thread is about in market people paying for access and not getting access.

Which is my situation. My Internet TV with a TSN app tells me the game is not available. My old TV that uses a bell streamer has TSN as a channel so I'm watching tonight's game on channel 400 on Bell

Something about large corporations involved in another industry or business getting involved in content or media doesn’t sit well with me. Don’t know why that is. Maybe time for anti-trust although whether that works or not, I’m not sure. If these mega-billionaires have so much money that they can launch rockets into space, maybe they could do something useful that benefits people like building hospitals or whatever. Anyhow, I find I’m becoming more cynical than I really want to be. I don’t have high hopes for the future especially given recent events.

I agree. Unfortunately, I think we're well beyond the point where hope it will get better is reasonable. It's only going to get worse, much worse, imo.

So for the people telling me to get TSN 5, what do I do now? I have TSN5 and Sportsnet and this is my prize for trying to watch my team play. And if the solution is to going to a live game, f*** that because I’m not going through another bullshit game like the Edmonton one.

Email Mendes
Or post on CiH. I’d try and find Mendes email.
He was on CiH, and said he’s has posters say it’s fixed now. ,but doesn’t believe everyone is fixed.
Said TSN is working to resolve issues, and he’s working with them, give it a listen.

Provide him city you live in, who is your provider, what package you are using to access with etc.

If you want it addressed. Mendes is your guy.

Ya, see this is the reason for this thread existing, so you're right.

Technically, our advice was correct and works for most people. For whatever reason, TSN is blacking out some that shouldn't be and that's what Mendes is trying to fix. For that, I am definitely sorry it worked out that way for you as it's ridiculous and obviously frustrating. I've perused these issues quite a bit and it sounds like some ISP's don't make it seem like you're in Ottawa and thus the TSN app thinks you're in Toronto or something, but don't quote me on that.

I haven't been able to spoof TSN on my Shield or TV, but using the Location changer app on Android, I'm able to spoof TSN Go to thinking I'm in Ottawa, and using HDMI out from my Samsung tablet and smart phone to the TV is the current solution. Casting did not work as it then seemed to pick up from my Shield or TV that I am in fact not in Ottawa.

“Best in class” is far far away.
Guess they just have to tackle one monster at a time. They better get to it.

So looks like you stream and have Sportsnet+
I can only watch sens games if they are on Saturday. Otherwise need to use a VPN and pretend that I'm in Vancouver with my laptop. What a joke, pay $280 a year for SN+, have access to my friends Bell Fibe and still can barely watch any games without VPN or sailing the high seas.
Do you pay for the TSN streaming option, if not you aren’t going to get Sens regional games on TSN5 on Sportsnet+.
Assuming you’re in Ottawa like profile shows.
SN+ is strictly for out of market games only, that’s why it works if you say Vancouver.

I signed up for TSN for 1 month, and literally only 1 game worked. Every other game was blacked out because it think I'm outside Ottawa (I'm not). I tired NordVPN and it didnt work.

Cancelled. Arghh Matey

I couldn't get VPN's to work. The app just won't play at all if it senses one, it seems. A GPS location spoof app is what works, but that doesn't work on TV's and android boxes, just phones and tablets.

Yeah, I'd be doing it on either my PC, Nvidia Shield, or Xbox - so I think I'm SOL.

Good info for those wanting to use mobile devices though :thumbu:

I've been in Ottawa my entire life, only 20 minutes from the arena. Sick of this shit. How many different services do I need to watch the f***in games? Because I have them all and it barely works. I bumped into Ian Mendes one day at the rogers store and I should've asked him at the time but I didn't wanna bother him. I'll try contacting him online and see what he says.

“best in class” means best of the bottom 10 NHL teams, that’s our class, the bottom feeders.

So I guess it’s working, we are the best bad team in the NHL
