Tony has those bpm clowns on his pod, not insiders , outsiders , clueless morons.
That station’s idea of young talent is milquetoasts like Campbell and Gallo, people with monotone delivery, childish banter, dumb trivia, cringe name-dropping, who fill most of their air time by reading the internet back to you out loud.where's Melnick? does the guy ever work anymore? is he sick again? he just came back from visiting his daughter in Toronto.
It's a running f***ing gag that he's collecting 6 figures to mail it in. They should just use his salary to find a younger, hungrier host
completely, totally agree. That station’s idea of young talent is milquetoasts like Campbell and Gallo, people with monotone delivery, childish banter, dumb trivia, cringe name-dropping, who fill most of their air time by reading the internet back to you out loud.
Talents from other generations did not immediately transition from the production booth to on air within 6 months — they had to hone their skills and make their mistakes at smaller, more remote radio stations, which could take years. However, when they’d made it to a big city radio station, they knew how to command attention and how to ad lib. Sadly, a lost art.
There’s an amazing quiz between Simon Tsalikis and Jimmy G happening now that says otherwise.completely, totally agree.
Lol Simon is actually a really nice guy. I run into him frequently at a coffee shop in NDG after his starters showThere’s an amazing quiz between Simon Tsalikis and Jimmy G happening now that says otherwise.![]()
He could be nice but he comes across as a simpleton who can’t properly enunciate. He has these quirky pronunciations, which give him away. Why is he always doing station identifications as « ah-TSN690 »? Why is there an « ah » in there »?Lol Simon is actually a really nice guy. you're not wrongHe could be nice but he comes across as a simpleton who can’t properly enunciate. He has these quirky pronunciations, which give him away. Why is he always doing station identifications as « ah-TSN690 »? Why is there an « ah » in there »?
His commercials are poorly conceived. He can’t pronounce the names of the cities he works in. What’s with « Levalle »? He wants us to call him first but there is nothing he does that is different from any other real estate agent out there other than him getting reduced rates on airing commercials that sound big time amateurish.
Man, that station really knows how to annoy. There is Starr who delivers commercials in a weird American accent, McKenna who is whiny and insufferable, Melnick’s obsession with Dylan, this Luca Scott character who sounds like a Neanderthal and John Still who likes to hear himself pontificate — often feels like he’s trying too hard.
Only thing I enjoy are their afternoon guests. That Aaron Ward guy is one hell of a storyteller, has a great radio voice and delivery. Some bigger network should snap him up — he’s got the gift of gab and knows how to use it.
Only reason I didn’t mention Gallo and Campbell is that I had freshly bashed them in a prior post. They are big time insufferable.you're not wrong
the station is awful...you didn't even mention Gallo and Campbell
as a regular Joe, Simon's a good guy
and Aaron Ward is great
