I’m guessing that you’re completely hooked on 91.9 FM? I am. Only things I will listen to on 690 are Melnick’s guests like Brunt, Aaron Ward, McGuire, TSN TV broadcasters.

BPM’s programming has made leaps and bounds — there are wall to wall goodies, great guests, lots of good camaraderie and info blended together, original takes — I haven’t had this level of entertainment on Montreal sports radio in eons.

690’s standards have so precipitously eroded esp. with any shows that precede Melnick. Sean Campbell in particular with his constant name and place dropping as if he were some kind of celebrity, is truly irksome. Gallo is bearable without him but put them together and it’s just annoying. Thank goodness for options.

Yes it's BPM Sports for me, too. They do have great chemistry and are entertaining. They'll go into laughing fits you can't help but laugh along. Gilbert Delorme is the funniest guy there. They have great guests, great hosts and teams.

They have really improved the station. And you can tell their budget has grown and their production shows it.

same here, its BPM Sports for me all day long.

Gilbert is hilarious.

I love when Gonzo and Georges have Eric Fichaud on, he absolutely cracks me up, especially when he goes on about Josh Anderson, his hit yesterday about Anderson had Laraque laughing hysterically.

Funny enough, I just happened to tune into 91.9 (BPM Sports) about 2 weeks ago, and I don't think i've turned it back to Team 690 since. I've been listening to Team 690 for 15 years. Maybe i'll go back at one point, but BPM Sports has me hooked at the moment.

Louis Jean doing a post-game call-in show on 98.5 FM. He’s on now, probably til midnight. Meantime, TSN690 who is supposed to be specialized in sports, pulled the plug on its post game show at 11 PM.

Don’t know how permanent Louis Jean’s gig is. He sounds as composed and self-assured as when he was a TV pundit.

Mario Langue-sale is doing the post-game weekday shows, which fall right into his regular time slot.

ahhh yes Bennett... holy cow she is nuts
What did she say that led you to that conclusion?

Not that every host on that show, and its segments and topics of conversation, are not worthy of scorn individually and collectively. Just atrocious programing outside of still rather tepid guest interviews as they range through a myriad of subjects like music, films, barbeque experiences, and discussions with, I think, the owner of a... a butcher shop or something as one of their weekly segments.

It's a mess.

There’s no rhyme or reason, it’s a dog’s breakfast of loose ends strung together by non sequiturs and commercial breaks.

Simon Tsalikis’s real estate agency ads are getting dumber and dumber. It began with « hey, free coffee! » a few years ago, a line that several co-workers lifted to deride him.

Fast-forward to now, where he uses the first names of clients who gave him a mandate to sell their properties and guess what? Simon ‘Call Me First’ Tsalikis: « I did just that! ». No shit, Simon. You sold a property just like any other agent. 💀

Louis Jean, an actually qualified tv/radio personality.

Do the 2 idiots Gallo and Campbell still have a show?

Those 2 drove my head into the ground for how bad they were.

Always with the creepy sexual innuendo epithets — like, get over yourself, you’re trying too hard to be Howard Stern. 💀

I emailed TSN 690 one day, and they said people love the music part of the show. lol

I've logged in to a couple of BPM episodes.
I laughed like hell the other day when LeMay called most of our players "Beige"
I guess vanilla doesn't translate so well.
I watched a Marinaro episode the other day. Is he having a mental breakdown? The guy was losing it. First he seemed sad, then screaming at the top of his lungs, then calling some clown friend at a restaurant, took off his shirt half way through the show...all this after a hab loss. Like are you normal?? Probably shtick but man so unprofessional. I couldn't make it through the whole show. At least the others on bpm seem more professional.

It's good for ratings.

The guy is suave and smooth and gives every caller plenty of time, which is different than your usual sports call-in show. Maybe that’s also a function of him working at low listenership hours.

Shockingly, the program becomes even more insufferable when they have a guest host like Tsalikis on to replace one of them.

I'm happy missing all that. My person with my life experience can't stand that kind of double-meaning sexual jokes. I want better than that and the bunch of BMP does a good job this year, and the years before. They are even better this year.

Except for Marinaro who is constantly bragging about his sexual exploits and how horny he is all the time. He’s learned quite extensively from his mentor Melnick. Friggin TMI. 💀
