Does that mean they won't be on anywhere else?

It will still be on RDS/TVA as far as I know
Hopefully it will still be on the Rogers Super Sports pack.

Edit: I guess the RDS broadcast at least will be because they usually have both French and English broadcasts available.

BTW LeBrun now has a new podcast that's pretty much "32 thoughts" in French it's called Radar. Pretty good informations about the value of goalies around the league. Tbh the quality of hockey podcast in Québec is getting pretty good.

Is it just me or are rds studios getting worse by the minute? They look stuck in the 90's

It's a makeshift studio in the old Bell offices on Nuns Island they rushed to put together in the last two months after their main building got flooded when a massive water main broke outside the office. Major damage.

Everything is green screened.

Alain Crête said on the radio that Habs games could potentially be broadcasted on Crave, a Bell Media owned streaming platform similar to Netflix.

The current NHL TV deal ends in 2025-2026.

As long as its not a Crave exclusive, I'd be fine with it I guess

How can Simon Tsalikis possibly be called in as a gust host. During Habs' Lunch today, and, mind you, all of this was overheard as I was flipping channels while on the road, he was asked about his thoughts on Barré-Boulet practicing on the third line above Gallagher, and his response was that Gallagher wasn't part of the future of the Canadiens, and we have to find out what they have in their young players.

The clown has no idea who's on the team.

And he went on what appeared to be - again, I was flipping stations. only coming back occasionally - a twenty minute rant on how pointless it is to pay any attention to prospects because of all the "failed" players over the years about whom fanbases were "hyping" yet turned out to be lackluster or outright busts. .

When they finally got around to discussing Demidov, he stated that he didn't care that Demidov was getting limited ice time - four minutes - and, in fact, that's too much. He should be playing two-and-a-half minutes. Nothing in Russia matters for a player with his offensive abilities... which he judges as being such presumably because he's hyped about the prospect, who is a sure-fire NHLer.

The man is just incoherent

Is this just a trolling attempt?

Trying to catch up and chose a few on demand broadcasts and who knew that simp on the morning show had kids? you'd never know if you didn't listen for a minute as the dweeb mentions it every other segment as if he's like the only one ever to have kids, such a gomer. He makes it sound like having children is so inconvenient, for shame. Listening to those 2 morning bores I think I'd go postal if ever in the same room as them.

Unrelated but an observation in that while watching a documentary one of the paleontologists was super drab, dull and nauseating and guess what? His name was Sean Campbell. All the other paleontologists were riveting, so maybe the name makes you what you are just like his fellow namesake on the radio.:pullhair:

If I heard Mitch Melnick correctly, Jeff Gorton will be on with him tomorrow (Wednesday) after 15:30 on 690.

Scotty Bowman was just on with Tony Marinaro on BPM.

Scotty is just pure class!

Tony welcomed him to the show by saying Bonjour!
Tony then asked Scotty the first question in English, Scotty without hesitation answered the question in French and the rest of the interview was carried out in French.
Not gonna lie I wasn't sure if Bowman spoke French, but given how old he is there would be a lot less English influence in la belle province.

I don't know when was the last time I listed to TSN690.
I’m guessing that you’re completely hooked on 91.9 FM? I am. Only things I will listen to on 690 are Melnick’s guests like Brunt, Aaron Ward, McGuire, TSN TV broadcasters.

BPM’s programming has made leaps and bounds — there are wall to wall goodies, great guests, lots of good camaraderie and info blended together, original takes — I haven’t had this level of entertainment on Montreal sports radio in eons.

690’s standards have so precipitously eroded esp. with any shows that precede Melnick. Sean Campbell in particular with his constant name and place dropping as if he were some kind of celebrity, is truly irksome. Gallo is bearable without him but put them together and it’s just annoying. Thank goodness for options.

It's interesting to read up on Scotty Bowman, who grew up in Montreal,

"I was working for a paint company and coaching a Midget team," recalls Scotty Bowman, whose career as a left wing ended at age 17 with a skull fracture that hospitalized him for six weeks. "I took long lunch hours to go to the Forum and watch the Canadiens practice when Dick Irvin was the coach."

Three decades later, the record that Dick Irvin would set is about to be surpassed by that young man who sat there in the chill of the empty Forum. Coincidentally, a skull fracture he suffered while playing with the Chicago Black Hawks had helped persuade Dick Irvin to end his career and start coaching. "Mine happened when I was playing for the Junior Canadiens in a 1951 playoff game," Scotty Bowman recalls. "I was on a breakaway when Jean-Guy Talbot hit me over the head with his stick. It was just one of those things. He came to visit me in the hospital. He was a defenseman for me when I coached in St. Louis later on."
The days before helmets, Gordie Howe had a skull fracture early in his career too.

Talbot was on 7 Cup winners with the Habs, just passed away this year. Scotty didn't hold a grudge, Talbot helped St. Louis make the finals their first three seasons.
