Someone’s gotta post the Steve buscemi memeThe Rangers have to ruin everything with their "fellow kids" nonsense

I mean they traded cally leading to a contract issue where he would walk for nothing, and they got a really good player in return that helped them. Trouba situation isn't comparable, he is signed long term and the team isn't naming him captain now after how many years without one just to trade him in a year, that's just stupidAs good a source as it gets.
And I'm sorry but anybody on this board saying oh no it should be Kreider.. I don't know how the hell any of us can have a fair opinion on that
We ain't in the room
The Rangers traded their captain in the midst of the best season they had since 1994 so this doesn't mean Trouba will never be traded
A lot of you need a lesson about leadership. You do not put a C on someone’s sweater because he is the best one on the ice. You give the C to the person that can motivate and get their team to step up. Be a voice to the group. Hold them accountable when needed. Unfortunately, a lot of the leadership intangibles within the locker room are not visible to us fans.
Zeal Does Not RestDo you give a C to the person who has the turning circle of the Ark Royal?
I beg to differ. Fortunately I'd say. Not everything has to be on/for show. Unfortunately, modern media/society is too bent on looking for flashy visible stuff though.Unfortunately, a lot of the leadership intangibles within the locker room are not visible
I'm afraid we won't tho)) There's a season with a captaincy coming))I gave zero f***s about the C but I'm glad that we can stop talking about this now.
Mika is not captain material. Great player but he's takes 30 games to pull his head out of his ass annually and gets shell shocked more easily than the other candidates. Kreider and Trouba would have both been good choices. Kreider probably leads more quietly than Trouba. This is a Callahan captaincy rather than a McDonagh captaincy. Trouba is the team rep to the NHLPA as well.
Would be tough to do with a full time captain. Each A would rotate in once every three games. Think they probably go with 4 (Kreider, Zibanejad, Goodrow, Panarin).Looks like they are still going with 6 alternates. All the guys in the video minus Lindgren had letters this past season. Strome left, so if they want to keep 6 alternates, Lindgren gets a letter too.
I know if I was sitting in the lockerroom and Jacob came in talking like his mouths full of peanutbutter id be fired up, that guys just got a way with words if you watch his interviewsA lot of you need a lesson about leadership. STOP HAVING FUN AT WORK!The biggest takeaway--and mainly just hopeful: the stupid hugging at the end of wins can finally stop.
Team definitely need a culture change--from the overpassing (always with the Rangers, but comes from 'oh I want my teammates to succeed!'), the gleeful instagram videos of guys goofing around (Laf is the biggest culprit of this, honestly) and just no killer instinct--hopefully Trouba can lead that charge.
