I think of all the players, Trouba is the least likely to have it affect his game. We've seen other players wilt a bit with the extra responsibility. That's not to say that Trouba won't, especially if things aren't going well, but if anyone can maintain the same level of play with or without the C, I think it's him.

No issues at all here. I think he's the right guy. Plays the right way, carries himself well. We all know how he's helped mentor some of the younger guys too. Plus, when the guy is more actives on his dog's instagram than his own, you know he's probably a good soul. lol

Awesome good for Troubs. This was a foregone conclusion in my opinion. Good to finally have a c on a sweater but there are several players who are leaders.

Regardless of what the fan base thinks this is all about the room and the respect the players have for one another. Not about the interviews the guy gives or how he is perceived by people who are not there every day to see the relationships.

Also, naming him captain of an original six only increases his trade value in the future.
