Said everything I wanted to say. Just a devastating hit, but clean. Reminds me of some massive hits Scott Stevens used to throw.

Oh super clean. Just like everything he does. Everyone just happens to put themself in a position to get checked directly in the head at full speed.

Trouba just skates and it just happens.

Just because there is head contact doesn't mean it's an illegal check. I think he got enough body there and Meier was eligible to be hit.

Trouba didn't do anything (ie. jumping, chicken wing etc) to target the head. He definitely hits him in the head first, but that's only due to Meier bending over. His trajectory is right through the body.

I think these are the kinds of things that will play into any supplemental discipline (imo doubtful), and likely why a penalty wasn't called on the ice.

Trouba led with his shoulder and didn’t leave his feet or purposefully target the head. Meier took a very unfortunate and ill timed glance down at the puck.
