Suspension deserved, but it's frustrating that this same hit from Lilleberg was two games.
I heard it's because this was the second for Zegras, he's also been fined once. Lilleberg was a first time offender.Suspension deserved, but it's frustrating that this same hit from Lilleberg was two games.
Probably doesn’t help that Vatrano has a history of diving.Zegras should have just done it after the period was over since apparently that’s allowed. Absolute nonsense that Chariot gets nothing.
To my knowledge Zegras has never been suspended before. That is what 1st time offender 'should' mean but that they consider previous fines to be on level with a suspension is nuts to me. So a guy who yells at the ref (hurt refs feelings) and gets a fine is equal in terms of 1st time offense as someone elbowing someone and getting suspended for it.I heard it's because this was the second for Zegras, he's also been fined once. 1st time suspension gets 3 games ???? Of course it happened against the RedWings who always seem to have the DOPS working for them since 2007.

if the league wants to eliminate ALL cheap headshots, then Chiarot's cheap shot to Frank's head should be punished as well. shouldn't be picking and choosing which cheap headshots are ok.Not surprising, figured he'd be suspended soon as I saw the hit. Exact sort of hit the NHL hates.
Also going to be honest, I don't see a world where Chiarot is anywhere close to a suspension. Cheapshot sure, but isn't really in the same realm as Zegras hit. A fine at absolute best.
That's why it should have been a fine. It was a cheapshot, not close to being suspension worthy. They were not close to being the same thing.if the league wants to eliminate ALL cheap headshots, then Chiarot's cheap shot to Frank's head should be punished as well. shouldn't be picking and choosing which cheap headshots are ok.
I don't think anybody is really their brightest in the heat of the moment, and being a professional athlete is kind of like being in the heat of the moment nonstop.Zegras is kind of a moron. I kinda like him and would kinda be fine with him being traded at the same time
Weird situation IMO
Well, yes, but 99% of NHL players manage to never make that hit.I don't think anybody is really their brightest in the heat of the moment, and being a professional athlete is kind of like being in the heat of the moment nonstop.
Trading him would be the biggest mistake this franchise has made in over a decade
Even though I would give most improved to Lacombe it is very nice praise.
Also find it interesting that the angle he’s taking is praising zegras for his improvement rather than focusing on accountability for the bad hit.
agreed. but is Cro sophisticated enough to think that thru? It's also self-serving of Cronin to make this point about Z because Z is the player where Cronin's influence is most obvious and most obviously needs justification.
That’s a strange statement since it would entirely depend on the return.I don't think anybody is really their brightest in the heat of the moment, and being a professional athlete is kind of like being in the heat of the moment nonstop.
