Mr. Make-Believe
The happy genius of my household
Fair to say that he’s officially taken that next step? He’s been excellent.Freddy on fire

I fought for him so long on here back when posters here wanted to waive him. It has been rewarding seeing him w 8pts in last 6 games.
He seems better as a shooter than physical presence though which is kinda weird when you consider how he came into the league.
Some real woofs in that first round ahead of McAvoy and Freddie both. What a pick by Gretzky
McAvoy & Frederic in the same draft
Are. You. Kidding. Me!!!!

I was at the Bruins draft party and hated the Frederic pick - I actually wanted Ryan Lindgren thereSome real woofs in that first round ahead of McAvoy and Freddie both.
He was raised in the NTDP program and is one of 5 kids all Div 1 athletes and I believe only one playing hockeyI hope he can do both. Power forward style. Be that physical presence who isn't afraid to muck it up, but also be a scorer and get greasy goals. There's room for players like that in the league. He's balancing it a bit right now. He doesn't need to be one or the other. Combine both. He seems to be getting it.

I think Trouba knocked off the invisibility cloak when he went all Turk on him in NY (combining Harry Potter & GoT for @Mione134)As well as consistency. This season by far has the most impactful games of his career. Can he increase the frequency a bit more as he has plenty of invisible games on a team that desperately relies on him to step up in the physical games.
Finish more hits is always going to be an ask. He shies away from finishing hits too often. He does not need to fight (often).
When playing with pace he actually has more talent than advertised.
His older brother Grant played 4 years at Miami (OH)He was raised in the NTDP program and is one of 5 kids all Div 1 athletes and I believe only one playing hockey
Do you think he is a modern day power forward?
What players would you compare him to? (active players or those who have already finished their career)
As someone said earlier, he seems like the kind of player teams would want. The kind of player teams are looking for at the trade deadline. Physicality, size and nowadays also offensive. And he probably hasn't even reached his full potential yet.
His game has really grown.I fought for him so long on here back when posters here wanted to waive him. It has been rewarding seeing him w 8pts in last 6 games.

Does anyone have a vid of the hit? I was cooking while it happened so I saw it the first time around but never the replay.I love how in the gdt we were like “ah that’s Jeannot nobody wants a piece of him” and then Trent immediately hits and injures him.
LEGEND.
