He’s not getting paid t this rate.
Honestly at this point he might be pricing him into staying here. I think if you improve the top 6 he can still be a good 3rd liner, but his lack of production is being magnified because the whole team sucks.

I still say trade him if you can, but if the price is right for him to stay you have to consider it now.

Through their 14 games in November he has only two goals while the team has been starved for offense. It's killing them and he just has to be better if they're going to continue force feeding him offensive opportunities and build the whole PP around him like this. I mean they're paying him 11+ mil per season he's.... oh wait this is a Frederic thread, thought we were talking Pastrnak. Frederic set up their only offense last night didn't he?

Forget everyone else on the team, simple question: do you think Freddy has played up to expectations this year? Would you re-sign him if he wants more than $3 mil? It's possible to think multiple people need to improve.

Of course not and I think he's gone next year either way.

And of course multiple players need to improve, it's just funny how it's always Frederic's thread that gets flooded with flak after a loss, I mean as bad as he's been he still has 2x the even strength production of Coyle and when's the last time you saw the Coyle thread? I mean Poitras has produced more than that dude and the kids in Providence for not being ready. But let's keep heaping it on TFred and his 12/13 min of ice a night

I would sign him for 4m in a minute. But I think he's a player that can bring back a bigger fish being added to a players swap.

Put Freddy with some NHL talent and even on the power play. He will be highly sort after if he goes FA.

They keep putting him on PP2 and from what I see the puck often dies on his stick. That's not his game at all.

I think 4m is a bit rich for me given he just seems to go through stretches of inconsistent effort, I could live with something around 3 mil

They keep putting him on the pp 2? since when, the last two games with 30 seconds left on it.

Give him Coyle pp Ice time if you want an honest equivalent.

As you can tell Im a fan of his and feel he has better hands and smarts with the puck.

He has one more point than Coyle playing almost 6 minutes less. 5 on 5 Coyle is at AHL level at 5M+

Lastly the entire team has been inconsistent from game to game for the last few years, I blame leadership. They just don't have the fire in the belly other than Brad.

I'm a Freddy fan too, but at this point I'm just being realistic, and while Coyle has been shit that isn't relevant to me, because the problem with Freddy is there are too many games he is just a passenger.

When you're on the 3rd line you don't have the luxury of not showing up and working hard any night. He can learn a lot from the effort Koepke and Kastelic have given this year. I had high hopes he could fill the spot that Brazzeau has taken on line 2 this year, but unfortunately he just hasn't been good enough for that.

i liked fred when he was a shit disturber in his first year in the NHL.

since then, he's a rollercoaster. when it's good, it's good. when it's not, it's not.
can't pay guys like him $5M+, it's bad business. and someone will overpay him
because when he's on his game, he can score, hit, fight and do all the stuff teams
like. at this point, trade him for a late 1st round pick and find more speed/skill.
i don't love losing gritty players but this team isn't soft anymore.
Maybe package him in a trade for a top 6 winger.

He has earned a cut in pay so far.Trade him in either a hockey trade or deadline deal if
he produced like this the next 26 games.

Koepke has been much better than Frederic and deserves a shot at 3LW with Coyle
who despite all the garbage being aimed at him is on pace for 22G this year from the #3C spot. Last two weeks Coyle's offensive game has absolutely improved.

Bruins going nowhere if Lindholm and Pastrnak keep playing at full year
rates of 9-32-41and 28-45-73 respectively next 20 games and if Swayman
doesn't start playing better. The next 20 games are the season playoff wise.

It's probably fair, as one of his biggest critics this season, to say he had a decent game yesterday. He wasn't great, but at least showed some signs of life a few times. Hopefully it's the start of pulling out of whatever funk he is in. I think he's got a long way to go to earn a contract here for next season, but maybe he will surprise us. I am still on the move him and get something back by the TDL train, though.

Coyle 26 games 8 pts. At even strength 4g 1a 5pts
Frederic 26 games 8 pts. At even strength 3g 4a 7pts

They are each other production wise. Think they also work pretty well together when they're on.

Koepke has been great and I can see him sliding up and down the lineup as needed, and as a good option to fill in that spot if Frederic is moved or walks in the offseason.

4m is too much for Frederic but 3m also seems like a discount.

The truth is somewhere in the middle and term is definitely a question.

I’ve said this before but it might make sense to reach out to see if u can get him on the cheaper side.

Dakota Joshua’s 3.25 x 4 is a really good comp

Probably ought to wait and see how the rest of the season goes, yeah? I don't want to give him Dakota Joshua money and term if what he's doing this season is his new normal.

Yeah but that means they've also seen the guy we saw the last two years who was a good producer 5 on 5.
recency bias, guy is in a contract year where most bust ass and produce, he`s done nothing remotely close to that, my opinion, he`s gone before TDL, this team has Kastelic who can easily slide up a line, I suggested in the GDT I`d put him with Marchy and Lindholm to bring speed, just watched the What`s Bruin show with Dom and Chris, had guest Craig Eagles on (I`m a few episodes behind) and he suggested the same which means I might be onto something.....for once

I re-sign Kastelic yesterday, move Freddy out

They haven't even replaced DeBrusk, better wait before you go around moving Freddy until you are sure what you have.

I still like his game ~ he and Coyle starting to gel again - liked Kastelic on wing as well - lot of space for Coyle yesterday

DeBrusk probably evolves into 35-40 goal scorer

Trent leaves he ends up putting up 20/40
