Second he’s gone he’s going to be so much better

I wish Freddy would lose the "shit stirrer" bit. He absolutely sucks at it. Absolutely zero impact.

He needs to skate hard all the time, lay the body, and go to the net.

Pretty f***ing simple Freddy -- certainly not rocket science.
Yup I think it’s there for 20-20 & 5 fights

The next time he puts up 20 goals will be the first time he's ever put up 20 goals. He's also only had 20+ assists once, with the rest of his usual season being nowhere near 40 points. The 18 goal, 40 point year is an anomaly in his career. People here keep expecting more from him and think he's going to magically "get it" at some point. Newsflash for you Dan, he's been playing regularly for 5 seasons now. This is what he is.

I can live with less than stellar point production, provided he adds some spice to his game. He's showing less and less of it

They drafted him because of "intangibles" and so far those have shown up as him having a really low hockey IQ, IMO. What little spice he's provided basically has hurt the team with bad penalties in bad spots, or by getting his teammates hurt for his bullshit. I'm more than fine turning the page and never looking back. What he does is easily replaced by less costly players.

When he leaves he puts up 20-20

He improved his production every season till this one which is strange because everyone else on the club are having a career year so far.

If any things an anomaly it's the start to 2024-25

Maybe but what does the contract he gets look like? It would really come down to that for me.
Probably 4/20 or 4/18.

I’d be at 4 M for 4 years but he could get hot

How do you figure if he already put up 18 22 as a third liner with 13min a night and no PP time?

I was just having a poke at Dan, really. But in somewhat seriousness, I think that 18-22 was an outlier based on previous seasons and this season as well. 40 points is not his norm, and there's no indication as of now that it ever will be.

2 goals 7 hits on Saturday

He and Carlo criminally underrated by Bruins fans

20 goals this season - lock

Oh and Sweeney said 100% in contract extension talks

I have never once been concerned with what guys put up when they leave.

It's exactly the act of leaving that gets them to their potential. If anyone thinks Debrusk was going to be a 40g guy in Boston, you're dreaming. I'm GLAD he was given the chance to do it elsewhere. To me the shame is not having traded him to that somewhere.

If Freddy figures it out elsewhere, that'll be good for Freddy. He's a great kid. But it's very very possible he never figures it out here.

let him build his value, some one will give you a boat load of assets for him which you can use elsewhere.

Bruins fans tell me all the time to get rid of this guy and that guy

So now I ask who you bringing in

80 % no idea, fire Sweeney & get someone who knows hockey (yup I go who you bringing in)

20 % some unrealistic player

Freddy 4x4

Steal

Let’s go Donny

I have no issue keeping Freddy for the record. I just don't think he's a top 6 guy ever. He's bottom 6.

I do think 4 per is too high. If he's bottom 6 career NHLer, you have to be real careful handing out 4.

3 gets you an elite Korpi!

There's no point in selling low. Wonder if they could extend him for under 4mil per since he's been ass.

It's interesting to think how guys like Heinen who are as productive, and arguably more useful to a coach, are moved around so easily compared to Frederic. But a guy like Frederic brings this idea of physicality that gets everyone excited. But that's that thing, its only an idea. It doesn't count when you only turn it on once a year.
That said I think this team is a tough out in any playoff scenario, because if/when they turn up the intensity it should be in there favor. But clearly, most, including Frederic, aren't interested in doing that in December. Except Zadarov maybe, he's always getting into shit which is funny.

Thing is Brazeau and Kastelic kind of magically appeared to BECOME what Freddy should have been. It's like found money with those two.

Bruins fans would have this team as a 40 point team if they made decisions

Frederic was never a good fit for slacks and tassels Monty

I extend Freddy, obviously would have kept DeBrusk, and keep Carlo

Though Frederic had his only productive seasons with Monty and the only productive playoff as well.

At this point he's not far off his pace from the last two years. He's tracking towards 15 goals, 32 points and 250 hits. Hopefully his value hasn't dropped.
Sacco should be good coach for him - he’s been there with him since shown up and good relationship- any doubt should be removed and he can just play

Though Frederic had his only productive seasons with Monty and the only productive playoff as well.
No worries bud we see things differently here / respect your knowledge & opinion but not traveling down your road
