Waived: Travis Boyd (Update - Claimed by Vancouver)

I hope the Leafs don't bring Brooks up only to expose him to waivers. I like him more than the other guys, and would rather he play on the Marlies until there is a more durable spot for him on the roster.

Mind you, if he gets called up, waived and claimed then thats good for Adam Brooks -- which I am all for -- but not so good for the Leafs. He is a younger, maybe better (maybe worse) version of Travis Boyd. He at least has a higher ceiling.
What's the total amount of games he would need to re-qualify for waivers this season since he's already cleared? Definitely don't expose him again, but he could play up to the limit before heading to the Marlies until the playoffs with new additions coming to the forward group.

Too many good players. Oh well.

Glad we're not the ones claiming other teams 13th/14th forwards for our 4th line.

Dubas did a good job loading up on depth forwards in the off season. Unfortunately, this is a consequence of having too many NHL calibre players on the taxi squad.

one team's trash is another team's treasure. Vesey played top6, PP and SO for Canucks in his first game. Boyd will be Canucks 4th line center

Vesey played top 6 here for abit to. Unfortunately he couldn’t provide anything. Wish him the best tho

Players like Vesey and Boyd are perfect depth players to have around in case of injuries and a pandemic so its not surprising these players are being claimed on waivers.

Vancouver is poaching spare parts

Do I see a # 47 jersey in that pile ?
just kidding ;)

love Pierre !

Of course the Canucks claimed him

At least this time around its a useful player.

I think the Canucks are getting some players in case they decide to sell off pending UFA's.
They've had calls on Pearson, Sutter and Roussel. I could see them getting some spare-parts for if/when they decide to actually tank. They'll need some bodies to suit up for after the deadline!

Hey I am here again! This time with asking for a Scouting Report on Travis Boyd.
What can you faithful tell us about him?
Our bottom 6 is probably the worst in the league, so curious what kind of of Travis could fill on the Canucks.
Strengths/weaknesses, etc | How has he played this year?
I appreciate it!

Decent option for the 4th line. Puts in effort and has a bit of puck skills. I'd say a solid replacement level player who can be a bit more when he has puck luck with him
