anyone know what the tie breaker is?

well, logic dictates that points from regulation wins > OT wins > OT2W > SOW. Since everyone playe each other exactly once, there's at least 1 winner and a loser in every match up so that should solve everything.

The biggest game of the tournament for u guys... win in regulation and u clinch 2nd place... lose u play the 7th place game against Minny...

Wait, if we win this game we play in the championship game? How's that possible, we haven't even won a game

no. We clinch 2nd in our division which will put us in the "bronze medal" game. 1st place of eahc divi play in the championship game

Oh that makes more sense, I thought you meant we would come in 2nd overall somehow.

TCNYR had 8-0 shot advantage but 0 goals before falling behind 2-0 in the first game against Carolina. 5-0 shot disadvantage today and we're down 2-0.

NYR Hockey....

You may want to remember games like this next year when we have our annual debate about using a high draft pick on a goaltender.

how high? Goalies are crap shots past a certain point. The developmental trajectory is a bit of a mystery until it makes itself clear. I'd rather go with later rounds and grab a few at this point with Henrik in net.

Keep ignoring our goaltending situation when we have one 31 year old franchise goaltender with a year left on his deal

We have given ourselves ZERO leverage by ignoring this position

And our defense in this tourney is a disgrace.

Henrik wants to stay, we want him to stay. It comes down to the money and a few minor things. All the leverage in the world in Henrik's hand couldn't topple our cap and team. He's not going to ask for $10M at the cost of the team's cap and flexibility.

Most of our top defensive prospects, in fact, all of our top defensive prospects aren't in this one so I suppose MSG didn't care for any broadcast or feed because of this

There's a difference between using a 1st and a 6th round pick on a goalie, no? If we burn a 2nd or 3rd rounder on a future #1 net-minder in the next couple of years I won't have a problem with it.

Not even the point takes a good young goalie 4 or 5 years to be ready At the least. Hank is 31 when are we getting our top goaltending pick?

And that's just such a silly notion that goalies are a crap shoot so shouldnt take them early. All players are a crapshoot. Superstars get drafted in late rounds by accident all the time. But u have a much better chance at finding a franchise goalie in first 2 rounds then in the 7th. We got lucky with hank.

We've passed on some good kids for garbage pics the past few years and I don't get it. Montreal has Carey Price and they go out and draft fucale. That's covering your bases.

Wouldn't mind using a 2nd rounder on a goalie. Lehner, Allen, and Markstrom were all 2nd rounders and probably are the best goalie prospects in the league at this time.

Honestly, there are so many good goalies around the league, I wouldn't be upset if the Rangers never used a 1st or 2nd rounder on one ever again. I mean, look at St Louis and Anaheim. Look at what happened in Ottawa last year. Ryan Miller is on the trading block. Corey Schneider and Jonathan Bernier both got moved because the feeling is that they should be starters somewhere. I get that some of those guys were taken with high draft picks. But...

I think if it came down to it, the Rangers would be able to find a goalie.
