8 SOG for Kristo. Man, would be a shame if he leaves the game empty handed.

The spirit of compete would want to see a win but realistically, it's good to see our top players playing well.

Not a bad outcome considering the relative goalie performances. Glad that everyone on the first line got a point. I would have liked to see Kristo's shots.

Oof. C'mon, kid - your teammates put 39 on net, score 3 and... you let in 4 of 25 shots. Need to pick it up!

bad timing. Maybe Skapski isn't exactly an iron clad mental mind **** like Henrik. Maybe the opposite based on the timing of those goals. Complete conjecture but it doesn't look good when you let in 2 goals after your team puts you up 8-0 in shots then lets in a goal to start the 3rd only down 2-1 coming off a PPG then a minute after scoring one to push for the tie. Tsk tsk.

I think 19 is an incredibly young age for any goaltender. They take a longer time to develop than most.

Not a lot of Dan Blackburns any more.

Maybe in 3 years, he'll develop into 40 D. Altshuller 39 3 36.

As much as you guys talk about how McIlrath and Miller are too experienced for this tournament (which I disagree on), 18 year olds struggle in this tournament from what I have seen.

The players in this tournament are either just drafted (meaning they are already top notch junior players or have professional experience), invited to play (meaning they are likely standouts where ever they currently play) or have been in a teams system for years, and are much more developed.

It's hard to expect a lot out of an 18 year old WHL goaltender in this tournament, it's a higher level of competition. St. Croix, McIlrath, hell even Hagelin, had awful tournaments in 2011. Miller wasn't too hot either.

Just watched about half the game, but no one stood out for being good. Samuel Noreau stood out a few times for bad plays. He had a shot 4 ft wide when he had all day, let a player walk passed him on a 1 on 1 and made a brutal pass when again had all day.

Where did you watch the game?
