yeah the kids were shocked when they were told they were flying...and quite pleased to not be on a bus for 7 hours

i picked on Josh for things he was doing early...but he really changed his approach the last couple of games and was really rewarded...

Bright Spots: Anderson 3 GWGs, Kerby played everywhere and and just boss, the goalies, Dano, Tynan, Moutrey

Not so Bright Spots: the defense, mainly b/c there were a lot of invites and not our prospects...

Congrats to the kids on winning the tournament - for whatever it's worth.

I certainly think this is part of the new culture and persona that our team has developed. Gone are the days of half-assing through shifts and not caring ... in are the days of having to compete to be better than the guy sitting next to you - if nothing else, for fear of letting him down. It starts at the top, and it filters down to the prospect level. We're drafting guys not based on their offensive upside, but on their compete level and willingness to work hard to succeed. That's how you build champions, even if it is "just" the prospect tournament. Kudos to everyone on the staff who has made this happen ... the best is yet to come!
