Roster/Line-up will look like this IMO:

Hall - RNH - Eberle
Yakupov - Gagner - Hemsky
Smyth - Horcoff - Hartikainen
Eager - Belanger - Petrell
Hordichuk

Petry - Smid
The Schultz's
Whitney - Fistric
Peckham
Potter

Dubnyk
Danis

IR - Khabibulin, Jones, Sutton

Personally I'd do just that, send Paajarvi down and carry 8D. That said Krueger seems hell bent on 14 and 7 so we'll see.

I thought Krueger changed his mind and said they'd carry 8 D now.

Oh well we'll see in the next 4 hours or so.

a 1st overall would be nice... b/c Seth Jones looks to be quite a player

I would say Jones is superior but I would love Barkov on the team. Anyway, with the addition of both Yakupov and Schultz this year I'm content with the talent on the team. I don't want more high picks I want results.

Anyone know if Dannis has to go back on waivers to go to OKC? Just wondering why it wasn't an emergency recall with Bulin hurt.

Yes he does.

Would of had to gone on waivers either way. Could of sent him through waivers then done emergency recall or just kept him up and send him through when khabi is back.

Even though he wasn't at camp he was waiver eligible like plante Byers and house.

Lots of goalies have gone through waivers recently so doubt he gets claimed.

Anything less than a 22nd overall finish in the NHL by the Oilers this year is an epic fail.

We can not afford, in terms of salary cap, any more talent that what we already have. High picks are useless except as trade bait. As it is I wonder how the hell we are going to sign Nuge, Yak, Smid, and Shultz.

Assuming the cap in time rises to $70+ million again, it's really not that hard to sign all of them.

Hall/Schultz/Eberle/RNH/Yakupov all signed at $6 mill per is $30 mill. Lets throw in Smid too at $4 mill.

You still have more than half your cap open with all the really key pieces of your top six signed and your top pairing D under contract too.

Didn't Dannis go on waiver in september? He had to go on again?

I'm hoping for a 10-8 conference finish and then pick Lazar as future No.2/3 C.

There is a real good chance we see nothing. They don't have to send anyone down.

4 guys on IR makes us roster compliant.

Can they actually put teddy on the ir when he was playing full contact already and he's just out of shape? Even a conditioning stint counts.

Here's a video of J. Schultz and Yakupov trying to put pucks through the handle of a milk crate from TC the other day.

They could suspend him I guess or just say that he got hurt in the last full contact practice.

:amazed::amazed::amazed:

Wow at Yakupov's shot and accuracy all around. Nailed the milk crate thing too (no pun intended).

I know it is a pretty ridicukously high expectation, but I honestly think Yakupov has a one-timer on the PP similar to that of Stamkos in the not too distant future.

I think it would be a stretch to think he will be as good of an overall scorer, or at least unlikely, but the guy has an amazing shot and release for an 18 year old.

Not the first time I heard this. If Yak can get to the open spots and if someone could get him the puck, he'll do a lot of damage.

And he's one of four potential franchise players we have for the next decade plus. :naughty:

That thought makes me giddy.

That video just made me smile. The release on that one timer at the beginning was just a thing of beauty. And the milk crate thing was just awesome haha!

Yakupov vs Schultz should be a very good and healthy competition going forward.

Both new to city, both offensive and both should be near the top in calder race.
I believe Hall\Ebs and Whitney were real close and RNH wasnt really included in their little social group early on. These 2 shouldnt have a problem finding a buddy in the team..
