It's only the 3rd pre-season game, but kids looked pretty good.
Especially liked Tkachev.

I don't think they tended the ice at all after the third. Tkachev, Byfield, and Patrick all had nasty skips. That ice must have been awful.

Well this definitely seems like the most competitive camp in a while. Having all of that young hungry talent in training camp is going to push a lot of these players to do better to make the squad.

Most fun ive had watching the kings in a while. They played with more purpose than they have in like 4 years and its only preseason.
Maybe kopitar and doughty have been bringing them down this whole time and its not the carousel of coaches and depth players fault after all. Just kidding though.
I like Strand as a 3rd pairing dman. He quietly makes good passes and is good on his coverages.
Edler and Maatta are mistakes.
Wouldnt be surprised if vegas starts their regression this year and edmonton takes the division.

Tkachev, Roy and Sparks would be my three stars for the night. Strong games from Danault, Edler and Andersson, and positive reviews for Lemieux, Byfield and Vilardi as well.

Kupari and Wagner, not so much.
