I agree, he will have a career in the NHL.
The only advice I would give him if I could, would be never make it easy for them to send you down. He was saying if I’m sent down… where I believe he should have been saying I’m having a good camp and feel comfortable and confident that I belong here. Then if they do send him down, that’s when he can give the “I’ll be back” speech.

What he said will have zero effect on the decision. If he said it your way. It would have zero effect.

I'm a big fan of Barron and I hope to see him in the AHL. Most of this pre-season he has really shown himself to be in the same mold as someone like Goodrow. Having another 40-80 games in the AHL will not hurt him

This kid has really shot up on my own personal hype list. He continues to impress me. Might sound dumb, but he's a great interview. Intelligent answers, both humble and confident and he didn't say "umm" once. That's actually really impressive for a kid his age. I really think he has a bright future in this league.

Having Jones & Barron ready to step in from Hartford in case of any long term injuries will be huge for this team. An example of good depth compared to the Quinn era "depth" which basically meant we have a lot of players, but most of them stink.

Yup. The quality of the bottom 6 this year is far superior than last years bunch.

Such a good feeling knowing that the season is getting going at a normal time. First games of the season will be in one week, Rangers the next two nights, including the opener. Cannot wait to be back inside of a full MSG for a Rangers game. It will be 588 days since the last time I've been there for a game. When you have season tickets and go more than you don't, it was tough. Next Thursday is going to be something special.
